Don't go to Dr. Parrish/Bardstown Ambulatory Care

Probably not here or anywhere but personally I guess I'm just a die hard Parrish fan:) because he has been a good doctor to my family and I:)

saw nurses when i was there did an excellent job in my emergency and sent me to another doctor for correct medical care i needed for follow up. no complaints by the way no insurance. lucky my wife paid the bill. not to bad i might add.

I think he is wonderful! I have seen him with and without insurance and have been treated well at all times!

OMG!! OMG!! I don't believe that for one minute, it sounds more like your own personal fantasy! He does shake hands, may put his hand on your arm, shoulder...etc.... but not in that sort of way. He IS a happily married man with children. Why would someone ever say something like that to try and ruin another person's reputation?

I will never go there again either. The staff there are very unprofessional and it is completely obvious that they are just in it for the money. A friend of mine worked there and had to leave because all they do is cover for each other's mistakes. I had three medication mistakes that no one there would take responsibility for. After the third, I thought I better find a new doctor before someone there killed me.

Hey then all I can then is it's who you know on how you are treated because I have THE BEST care! The staff IMO is not unprofessional. People in customer service and working in a doctor's office is CS get crapped on every day and sometimes several times a day. People come in with attitude and are plain out nasty to CS people so that road goes both ways.

Another thing, is I like how people always say, "a friend of theirs..." Let that person come on here and if they worked there and have the balls to admit who they are then let them provide their side of the story but maybe Dr. Parrish's office needs to be able to defend themselves on here as well....maybe that would shut alot of crap up.

Also, anyone who is not involved with their own healthcare causes themselves problems. You have to be up to date on your own info, the medication you take and what you can't take. A person can say the same thing about medication issues about their pharmacist because they are suppose to talk with you if ANY medications come across their desk that just doesn't mesh with what you are already taken but they don't. What were your medication mistakes in the first place?

I think anyone who doesn't want to work or do anything productive should get government checks, free healthcare, free housing, free, free, free!!!! Only an idiot would have a job, get married and pay taxes!!! Why would anyone want to do this when you can sit on your azz and get everyone elses money??????? Keep on working you average working dudes so I can get all your cash!!! I need crack money and money for my Olde english malt liquour!!!!!

Waited in the office today for 3 hrs that is sad! Letter on wall says only talk about 2 problems, if u have more problems make another appointment ! That's totally insane

I have been there several dam times and each one of my visits I have neen waitin in the waiting room for almost 2 and half hrs wat the fuxck takes so dam long my chest was hurting so bad I had been crying and yet thewy still made me sat in the waitging room u know wat fuck that place I like dr parrish and all but the time I had went to the hospital because of my chest hurting so bad like it had before I was in and out of the ER in 1 hr half2 t

The staff there is very unprofessional. They constantly make medication and billing errors, and will never own up to anything. The wait time is ridiculous and the quality is poor. Go somewhere else!!!

i have seen people turned away for owing money there. i was one of them. they tell you that the bill has to be settled before you can be seen there. if you can pay that day great, if not you have to go somewhere else until you can pay. you can't blame them for not seeing you because of that. if you can't/won't pay a past bill, what's to say you'd pay this time if new costs were added? should they just keep letting you run up a high bill, work for free? nope!

Jane Doe is so right!!! "Yes", why would we go somewhere else, we're not the ones complaining!!! People will b*tch regardless, nobody's ever happy.... Still I stand by the fact that I've never been turned away but I always pay even if I don't pay the full bill and they have been awesome to me. You know all of you can talk bad about Dr. Parrish but let's be honest, he's not in it for the money because when you figure the hours the man puts in he probably don't make squat. He has a huge staff to pay, office space, and probably has a large overhead....it's a business, one in which most people don't pay. He works even when he doesn't feel well and with Tonya gone he's been working his butt off. Why would a person do that? It's because he cares, he cares and people get pissed at him and are rude because they had to wait....well he's there all day long waiting on you people to come in so that he can take care of you. Yes, I'm sure there are benefits to owning his own business which is what it is but still I bet there are days that he'd trade it all in when some sorry piece of crap comes in and is rude to him because they don't want to pay their bill. You know I hope that he doesn't even know this thread exists because it's just a kick in the face to one of the nicest doctor I personally have ever known.

I like Dr. Parrish and Tanya... I almost never have to wait long. I consider them my primaries.

This all got started because he refused to see that woman AFTER her bill was paid. The posts have gotten way off topic. The point is that this was a long time patient, who's bill was paid in full, and he turned her away. It had nothing to do with someone not wanting to work, or getting a job with benefits. Where's the compassion there? and just because YOU have not been turned away doesn't mean he is not doing it to others. Don't be so naive. It all comes down to his wallet at the end of the day.

I just believe that it should have never gotten talked about to begin with. Someone had a bad experience....no on knows what the truth is except that lady and Dr. Parrish. Why gossip? If someone wants to drag someone's good name in the mud, people will defend that person because they car. That's compassion there.

You wouldnt go to work for free then dont expect someone else to do it..

Dear "I Know" (aka Chuck) please read the prior posts before engaging in this conversation. No one expects anyone to work for free. HE HAD BEEN PAID! He just needed to do his job.

My gosh, how long are you going to run this into the ground? You've done told this group this over and over again. That's your story. If you take a good look at all these posts your going to realize one thing, we love Doc Parrish that's not going to change.

Each story is different, your story is your version of your truth and may or may not be based on the whole picture. My story, he's never been anything but kind to me and I adore him, I adore his staff. When I've struggled in my personal life, they have been there for me...way more than just a doctors office who just sees patients to make money. I've also owed them money and never once have I been told I could not be seen!! Sometimes I 'm there twice a month and owe money but they care more about me and know I am going to pay them.

I also, know people in this community who know more about that office(it's people) then you will probably ever know, people in position and they think this site is a load of crap because someone wants to tear a good man down along with his practice. That's what Dr. Parrish is, a good man. Your trying to mess with a good man's reputation...do you know that? His good name. How would you like it if we were all on here trashing your name so the world could see? As a matter of fact why not share it? If you are going to accuse him of something then in all fairness shouldn't you have the balls to say who you are? People call me Kel, by the way so there's no hiding.

I found this site looking for information about Bardstown and came across these posts by accident. I've stayed only to defend a good man because topix is useless. You bitter, uncaring people are useless, those of you who use up your useless time to destroy a man's reputation. Shame on you! GET A LIFE.

To DrParrishFan: For your information I am not running this into the ground. That was the first post I made about this topic. I was just pointing out that the comments went from a doctor turning away a patient who's bill was paid to people wanting something for nothing. Sounds like you have a lot of useless time if you "found" these posts and took the time to read thru all of them. And, who goes to a general practitioner for struggles in their personal life?? Sounds like you need a shrink!
