I was at Dr. Parrish's office today and saw something really sad. He turned away a older woman who was in a wheelchair and could barely hold her head up. Her caretaker was really mad when he said he would not see her. I followed her out of the office and asked her about it. She said the woman owed $24.65 which she paid when she came in, but he refused to see her. The woman ended up in the hospital because of it. Do not go to him!

there is no sign that say's free care here so do not be haiting on dr parrish unless you know the hole story. i've been there 100 times for myself and kids and never seen anyone turned down so your not going to make me believe that. there has to be more to it than $24.65.

a fake story. Doctor's are not likely to know a patients balance. Office staff, yes. How would this person even have gotten into an exam room?

Did you ever ask what her conditions was, why couldn't she hold her head up? Ambulatory care centers only have certain procedures they can function based on their licensure.

I don't have insurance. I called to ask what the charge would be..$75.00, so I went. Two weeks later I got a statement for an additional $80.00. They lie to you! I had no additional test etc. done. Dr. Parrish determined I had the swine flu that went into pnemonia. He wanted to do xray's but I declined because of the cost. Needless to say, I haven't been back.

Where the hell does everyone get the idea they have a right to health care? And if you can't pay for it, well just pass the cost along to those who can.... That's why when you get a job things like vacation days, retirement funds, 401k's and health care are called "benefits" not rights!

Needless to say, I haven't been back. That is strange because I don't have insurance and they only charged me $50.00 and then gave me a 10% discount for paying for everything up front. I have been going to them since they opened and have never had any problems with them or their billing.

Sounds like she needed, to be at the E.R. instead of the clinic. I don't think we have the whole story here.

My family and I have been there several times. We are uninsured and each time it was $75.00 just to walk through the door. No discount.

okay, THIS is how it really works there (I have been there MANY times) If you have insurance, your copayment is excepted at the time of the visit (There's a sign right there) If you have no insurance they expect you to pay for your services or they will not see you. THIS IS NOT DR. PARRISH'S DECISION! That is the way the Ambulatory care does business. Personally every time I went there I would ask to see Dr. Parrish because he always treated me well and did whatever he could to help me out. He understood that I had insurance but I did not have alot of money for medicine. Grow up people.

This topic started off with a post that can't possibly be true. How do they know the person ended up in the hospital? A whole lot of other highly improbable statements as well. I say it's a junk topic meant to do nothing but start shit.

I agree I won't go there again.
