The rules ain't much different from the past, the last demo only had 10 cars, there was a lot more money involved this year towards the pay out! There was also 4 other derbys going on with in 60 miles the same night, sorry you didn't like it but a lot of people did, if you think it needs to change then say something to someone in person instead of getting on Here an bad talking what so many else worked hard on.

We had to start late due to the traffic, fairboard wanted everyone to get there and enjoy the derby, reason we took so long after the heats was to allow a couple guys to put axles back in, which I think everyone in the pits was pitching in to try an help them out. rules have changed with the times, due to the lack of cars, harder rules means more runs outta one car. You don't have to put a lot of $$ into to it to compete, most guys build there own parts, but most Derbys are paying upwards of $1000 for first now days with some paying over 10g to win, the days of stock derbys are over, most can't afford to pay $500 for a car an only get one Derby out of it! I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, just trying to explain things a little, so the people who have ? About why there's not many stock shows anymore, as far as driver doors hits go, drivers in the drivers meeting agreed to let them go unless it was clearly intentional,

If he did that's his choice, the days of 20 or 30 car derbys are over, scrap prices are a part of that, I do belive that most county fairs are trying to go to a points system that will require one set of rules for all fairs, what they'll be is pretty close to the rules I had for nelson co derby, but u can still run a high $$ motor in a stock car the motor is not what gets you the win, the 2nd place driver had a wore out 4.3 a never got hot like the 1st place drivers motor did has he had around 4g in his,
