who do we blame for the rash of welfare moms? Parents, government ,schools or other

I know the topic has been beaten to death but I was in the health department lately to get my shot. I was shocked at the number of kids with some of these girls. I guess it was wrong of me to assume but something told me they were living on our dime. If the parents don't teach them and the government gives it to them ,can't at least they have mandatory programs for them to attend. If it keeps up at this rate the government really will be broke.

I thought at one time, people drawing assistance had to do, so many hours of community work,as away to pay back.Is this not true?I know many of people that get help,but I know of none paying back.

I wish there was some way to instill some incentive in them to make it on their own . Remember being so proud of that first paycheck. I would love to be early twenties, not tied down to a baby or husband,in my own apartment,paying my own way.

i was there the other day and it seemed like there were a lot of women my age that already had 4 or 5 children, and you know, im like you, maybe its wrong to assume, but that just seems a little ridiculous to have that many children at such a young age. i have one child,and was married for three years before i had that child. i think people need to think of the consequences before they lie down with the next man they are wanting to sleep with.

The Health Department offers birth control, pap smears, cholesterol, nutrition and other services...did any of you think maybe the woman were there for those reasons?
The health department has nothing to do with welfare or foodstamps.

no i dont get welfare me my husband and my two kids dont get shi* because we bring in to much income... so no i pay for there medical and medicin and i pay for the food and my husband pays for food and the bill... and growing up i was on my own when i was 16 dear workin and supporting my kid so u can kiss my a$$ me and my husband get pay checks every thursday and we support our children not u or any body else not the government so if u dont have a clue of what ur talking baout then shut ur dam* mouth i may be young but i take care of my own...

I've been w/out a job for about two months and I have no children ,but there seems to be a trend of welfare fraud and women between 22 and 32 having additional wlfare cases in spite of our economy.Welfare and housing inmates instead of working is a major loss of revenue.We have developed work programs for some of these people,but on the voluntary basis.Seems everybody needs the help but not the taxes.Americans we pride ourselves on helping one another and if we all took one for the team we could employ alot of these jobless struggling parents.There will always be the Moocher and to them I say the same I say to the state-All of the time oyu spend laying around or keeping someone from being of some constructiveness just think about all the people you know who do have a job--Thats who's paying for your lazy a##.So TIGHTEN UP!!
