What was the first fast food restaurant in barbourville?

well I'm 43 and the Long John Silvers has been here as long as I can remember...but I also remember Burger Queen where the DQ is currently. After Burger Queen it was a Druthers. If i'm not mistaken there was a tasteefreeze in front of the drive-in that was near wal-mart...

I also remember a Scotty's burgers where pizza hut is at now...the only other one I've ever seen is on I-75 near the La Follette exit in Tennessee. They served those small burgers like white castle/Krystals do....Hope that helps

travelers Inn was one on the highway where taco bell is now I belive,,and yes burger queen,,

mills across from pope lumber.

Chain-wise...I'd say Druther's.

Dang i loved that place they also sold those little burgers like white castle,they where called wee burgers.Engles in pineville has been around forever and still as good as ever.

That building was called 'Burger Queen' before it became Druthers.

Scotty burgers was where the Commerical bank is now , beside of Walgreens . Then a few years after it went out of business , they put the dairy dip in that space , it was in a trailor and you ordered out of your car . The scotty burgers had a sit down restuarant with bar stools at the counter . Ther also used to be a sonic in town where the bank sit now , across from the old Knox central high school .

I love Engles hot dogs . I craved them when I was pregnant and I still love them .

there also used to be a Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken in the building directly behind long john silvers .

There was a Scotties Hamburgers in Manchester, KY

I worked at the nic-r-nac in 1968 it is now the hamburger hut and it and oasia (Lewis) were the 2 hot spots in B'ville in that time
