2012 End

I've recently read about the Mayan calendar and some believing that 2012 will be the end? What are your takes on this?

We are living today in the cusp of the Mayan end times, the end of a galactic day or time period spanning thousands of years. One galactic day of 25,625 years is divided into five cycles of 5,125 years.

The Great Cycle of the Mayan Long Count calendar ends on the winter solstice of 2012 A.D. Following Mayan concepts of cyclic time and World Age transitions, this is as much about beginnings as endings. In fact, it was considered by the ancient Mayans to signify the creation of a new World Age. We are almost at the end of the fifth and final 5,125 year cycle!

The Mayans had a very precise understanding of our solar system's cycles and believed that these cycles coincided with our spiritual and collective consciousness. The Mayans knew that our Sun, or Kinich-Ahau, every so often synchronized with the enormous central galaxy. And from this central galaxy received a 'spark' of light which causes the Sun to shine more intensely producing what our scientists call 'solar flares' as well as changes in the Sun's magnetic field. The Mayans say that this happens every 5,125 years. But also that this causes a displacement in the earths rotation, and because of this movement great catastrophes would be produced.

The Bible says no man knowth when the end will be not even the angels in Heaven. I am a firm believer in this, and my faith in God.

I agree that the bible does say that, and i believe that its the truth or God wouldnt have said it.

The Bible does say that but he also gives u signs to look for and says when these signs come to pass that he is at the door and about to come through it.What about that Mideast peace treaty thats on the table ready to be signed?.That's a BIG sign and also the New World Order and the building of the 3rd temple?All of this is being laid out in the world right now as we speak!

i don't believe it'll be the end for everyone. maybe a big part of the population....then it'll be the countdown to armegedon...after the devastation of 2012 the antichrist will appear and deceive.

Yes, God does give us signs to go by in the bible. But even after years of all those signs, no one knows the the date, time, or hour he is comin'. I don't believe that. Only God knows when the world is gonna end.

But you are wrong the bible tells us to look for the signing of the mideast peace treaty thats especially important.Thats on the table ready to be signed any day now.That starts the 7 year tribulation.God only says noone will know the day or hour he gives u signs for a reason.It's a build up of all those signs until the peace treaty is signed and it begins the move to the New world order which they are speaking of on the news at a more interesting rate.All of these are sure truth that we are living in the last days.

and also i must say that what he means by none knows the day or hour is that noone knows when his physical appearance back here on earth.He doesnt mean that noone knows when the tribulation will begin because thats what the signs are given to you for.

I totaly agree with you all. I am confused on one thing though. This is, which things take place first and in what sequence? Peace treaty, anti-christ,?? Or the rapture, peace treaty, anti-christ and the beginning of the tribulation?

The "Day" it's talking about is the return of Christ, I don't know why everybody thinks "the world" will so called end. This AGE will be what ends not the earth itself. The bible says the earth will remain forever. The meek shall inherit the what?????....The Earth. "the guru"

Guru, So what is your take on all of this? I'm always interested in your feedback.
I've been so troubled about all of this. I know we should all just take it one day at a time and if it happens, it happens. But, I still worry.
