What do you think about older women dateing younger men

ok hi im 28 single and theres this guy who likes me he just turned 18 do you think hes to young im wondering what everyone will think

Whatever you want. who cares what everyone else thinks? If it was up to everyone else...my God...I'd feel sorry for this town.

If the two of you have similar interests, go for it. Maturity should play a big part in deciding if you plan to really "date" or just have fun with the guy. Even guys that our same age tend to act immature and behave like babies so, make sure,(if it's important to you) that he has outgrown some of the "games" guys his age like to play. The stigma that goes along with an "older" woman dating younger men should have been set aside YEARS ago. If a 28 yr. old man can date an 18 yr. old female then why can't the same be acceptable for us females. But, hey..this is just my opinion. What's most important is what you want and think about the dating, not everyone else. Good Luck and keep the thread posted.:o)

very good advice that was one thing i was worried about was if he was mature enough but your right i have met men my age that act like a 5 year old and thats so true i mean why cant we date some one youger a man does it all the time really good advice thanks so much you been a big help take care

I met my wife when I was 18 and she was 31, this was 8 years ago...I could never be happier than I am with her and our children. Life is too short to not be happy, so I say you should go for what your heart wants. It's no one else business what you do to make yourself happy...so I say go for it and best wishes!!

But, I agree with what is stated above...make sure they're serious and mature enough to be in a relationship. Young men and women alike tend to treat relationships and dating as if it were a 'game' sometimes. Best of luck!!!

If you understand the criticisms that people are going to give you, and you are prepared, then sure. Just be ready to hear a lot of crap.

Also, his level of maturity has a lot to do with it.

Well for what it's worth. There is more to it than mutual attraction. there are those who have been in the same situation and it worked out. Probably a lot more that haven't. I don't have a figures but think of this: It is different when it is 1--15 yers difference when your 40 or 50 years old but at 18 what has this guy seen of this world. Probably only B'ville and the surronding area. Does he have a job and make a decent paycheck? IF not he can't be much of one to support himself and perhaps you and your family in the future. What about college or a trade school is he going to one? Like some before me mentioned there will be a lot of behind your back comments, do you or he have the tough outer shell to let the comments roll off with out itt hurting you emotionally. Speaking of emotionally, is this guy mature enough to enjoy the things you do? Will he understand the responsibilities that you already have and will you feel comfortable around his friends that may or maynot be mature? What about him being around your friends. What if you are invited over to someones house and are having a glass of wine or beer or something like a casual get together. He cant legally drink. If he does and you guys get caught are you ready to be responsbile to be taken to jail for contributing to a minor, because even though the age of majority is lower than twenty one the drinking age is not. Does he have reliable transportation to take you places or do you have to drive everywhere. I am not saying it isn't right or wrong, but generally people your own age usually make a better fit but there are a lot of exceptions. Just think it over long and hard before you do anything. If you go for it keep some of these things in the back of your mind.

age doesn't matter. I have a younger boyfriend and we are madly in love. We both like the same things, we never fight, and he treats me like a queen. something I never got before!! so go for it!!

You really need counseling if you can't decide on you own who to date. Why would you even think its anyone's business what two consenting adults do or even cares. grow up.

She's not talking about getting married to the guy. I say have fun while you can and if something more comes of it, good but if not well it was fun while it lasted.

I think its hilarious how once again a guy gets stereotyped as Ok to date someone younger, but the girl doesnt get the same choice? sounds to me like people love being sexiest. news flash, rather half of you all act it or not, we're mostly ADULTS! meaning we make our OWN choices and do our OWN things opinions are nice but they dont matter no more than the bird crap on your car windshield to others. I say you wanna date someone younger Do it. if thats what you want. sure, why not. otherwise, people should realize that just because "a guy can do it" doesnt mean a girl cant too.
