I was told from neighbors that she beat her husband and then shot herself to make it look like an in-home robbery. They were arguing about the property??? I don't know if this is fact..........just what I heard. But robbery crimes are up throughout the nation due to the state of our economy. Very sad regardless.

This is a complete joke...how does the news drop this subject in two days...how do the police not inform the public about what's going on.

Violent crime...no follow up.

The media camps out for one day and abandons the story...what a joke.

Still no updates? i believe they are letting the Dolloff's heal compleatly before they start drilling them with questions. I would like to know where their daughter is, last i knew they had a baby around 98 and 00. Their family owns all of dolloff rd. I would imagine it was probably just a home invasion. I spent many days at my best friends house about 2 houses down from them. Im not sure that they are the kind of people who deal with their own problems this way. This event is such a shocker to community members!

Is there any word on Jeff's condition and what has been happening. We live on Oak Hill Road for 10 years and heard about this shooting from someone that lives on Dolloff Road. Hope he is doing better. Our best to the family

Well, it looks like I was right, and the source I heard the information from was correct too. She wanted it to look like an in-home robbery. Since so much of that is happening, I guess it would seem believeable. What a shame though that people will go to such lengths.

Husband, wife in hospital after Standish shooting

Friday, April 17, 2009 1:00 am | Updated: 8:52 pm, Thu Jul 16, 2009.

A man and a woman are both being treated for serious injuries following an incident early Sunday morning in Standish.

Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office were called to 230 Dolloff Road at around 3 a.m. Sunday after a female reported a shooting. At the scene, deputies found the complainant, Linda Dolloff, 47, suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Her husband, Jeffrey Dolloff, 53, suffered head injuries, apparently from a beating.

Both were taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment. Jeffrey Dolloff is in critical condition with trauma to his head, while Linda Dolloff was listed in satisfactory condition.

No other details of the incident are known at this time. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the Maine State Police are investigating.
