Farmers oppose climate measure

With the U.S. House scheduled to vote as early as Friday on a sweeping bill to curb global warming, the Ohio Farm Bureau has come out against the measure, arguing that it would dramatically raise electricity rates for farmers.

I can't say I'm the slightest bit surprised - the Farm Bureau opposes all environmental legislation and is as radically reactionary in ideology as any of Rush Limbaugh's most brain-dead dittoheads. If we would take from their membership numbers anyone who signed up just for the cheap insurance, I bet 2/3's of their membership claimed in this article would immediately evaporate.

Yep if there is one things farmers don't like it would be change. How about this: Farmers can either go along with global warming legistlation or otherwise give up their massive subsidies given out for overproduction of corn and other crops? The effect of either change would reduce global warming emissions by a similar amount.
