Pontotoc Supervisors work to finalize county vicious dog ordinance

Something that bothers me about this ordinance. How it only applies to certain people. My pit was forced to leave by Pontotoc city police. He was in a chain link fence with a cable attached to a choke collar. If he would have got out he wasn't going outside very far. But I know personally people who have pits at there residents, well in the city limits. And was told that city officials knew that it was there an never enforced that law. So why do I get chosen out of the crowd like so many others when theirs favoritism to others. There are a few other things I'd like to get off my chest about the city laws. There will be more to follow later on. I need ur help with this. Post ur opinions.

I agree totally with what the gentleman above has said, i had a half pit mix and i was made to move my dog but i know of other people not of my race and they were allowd to keep their dogs and i feel as if that is wrong but what can u do when the law favors certain people and races! I feel like as long as my dog was undercontrol inside a pin with a heavy duty log chain on a thick leather collar he is fine but like i said they only come to certain neighborhoods and u know where that is!

The Pontotoc city police are bogus, they only go after the poor or disabled. My mother is disabled, they made her walk all over her yard in the blazing heat harassing her as if she were a convict. She had five little dogs and they were super rude to her and gave her a ticket. They told her "in the city of Pontotoc you can only have three dogs" I can't find this law anywhere. People have multiple farm animals in town but she can't have five VERY small dogs in a fence?!! Protect and serve, not harass, that's your freaking job. Our tax money shouldn't pay these thugs in uniform!!
