Where did the boys get the alcohol to begin with? The officer is not the only party to share liability in this incident. Who was responsible for knowing where the minors in the truck were? Maybe someone should look into where they started their fateful truck ride.

At least one of the boys was 21, old enough to buy beer.
I believe you are wrong, someone should look into where the truck ride should have ended.
It should have ended when deputy Chris Wilson was informed the driver hit the Sonic sign and was parked up against it. When Wilson decided to just leave he is the one and only one to look to in these boys deaths period.
A lot of parents don't know where their kids are at night. It is sad but also a fact of our busy lives.
Liability can easily be placed at the door step of an under-educated county deputy and his boss Sheriff Weldon Tucker.
Fire the Sheriff and find someone who can handle the job.

Just because liability can 'easily' be placed at the door step of the deputy and sheriff, who you obviously have no respect for, does not mean that there are no other persons liable for the boys being in that accident.
They began drinking before they got in the truck. Just where were they?

There are no excuses for parents not knowing where their kids are at night. Sounds like a convenient loophole. Also, kids learn about drinking and driving in their communities. It seems as if it is acceptable behavior in Bandera County to toss down a few and drive to the liquor store.

outraged, Thankfully you don't have to drive here.
You are right about one thing, I have no respect for an officer of the law who is too lazy to save a childs life. He just let them drive out to kill themselves. Twenty minutes after the deputy drove away from the Sonic, at approximately 10:19pm Deputy Wilson was telling a Bandera City policeman about the drunk kids at the Sonic. According to electric company records the power went out from the kids hitting the pole one minute later at 10:20pm. The kids were already dead before the City policeman was even beginning his investigation. The deputy was too late.
When you turn your children loose at night you really have no idea what might happen. You people who can't find any excuse for not knowing where your kids are at night or any other time for that matter aren't living in the real world.
We see many parents who just can't believe little Johnny would get caught at a beer party. Because you just always know where your children are you are devistated when they wind up in jail or the morgue.
Blame the parents, blame the kids but the one sure thing that could have saved these kids life was for the Bandera County Deputy to have done the job he was hired to do.
I have no idea when or where the boys started drinking that night but the drnking should have stopped when the deputy was told the kids were drunk and hit the sign at the Sonic.
Bitch all you want to but the bottom line is the kids did not have to die that night, no they didn't!
When Bandera County Attorney Kerry Helgren Schneider' son is not prosecuted for DWI and possession of drugs things like this become the accepted behavior for everyone.
The multiple DWI charges that are downgraded and handled as deferred adjudication where it doesn't even show on your record is why it is becomming accepted behavior.
Now how about a little respect for the dead and their families?

I am a member of one of the families and I don't appreciate you pouring gasoline on the fire. You are only interested in bashing the police department and the deputy who did not do his job. Quit making posts under the guise of concern for the boys or the families. You are out to get the police department and this is an incident in a long line of issues you have on your agenda.
I'm not fooled nor is anyone else by your 'concern' for the boys or their families.

People still have the misconception that they can serve thier children alcohol. It is against the law to serve any minor alcohol whether it is your child or not.

Why don't you DO something rather than spending your time as 'shadow' and complaining on blogs.

If you are really a family member I would think the things that happened would concern you but maybe not.
You bring up all these things about "There are no excuses for parents not knowing where their kids are at night". The parents here were your family members and maybe you should adress your concerns with them.
Why don't you practice what you preach? Signing in as "outraged" and complaining about everything you read.
You should be outraged at how this was handled by the Sheriff's deputy.
People all over Bandera can't believe this was allowed to happen. This involved your family members you say and I want action taken so hopefully it won't happen to anyone elses family members.
If the boys had driven into oncomming traffic they could have killed my family members so you see its not just about you outraged.

You need to take a breath. Your tunnel vision and increasing narrowmindedness thwarts your reason which already borders on the nonsensical. This will be my last post because, as Benjamin Franklin said:
"He that speaks much, is much mistaken."

I appreciate your posts on the subject but the rest of your posts appear non related at best.
Spoken like a true liberal, don't ever comment on what is said just slander and call names.
When you can't defend your defenceless position just deflect. Get in their faces and argue.
For all the information you gave I am glad your wasting time for everone.
I like Ben Franklin by the way.

To Outrage: Where did the boys get the alcohol?
Unknowm thats teenagers for you. But the real question lies in the Deputy, Deputy C. Wilson was fired by Sheriff Tucker and what happen in this situation. Well you be the judge contact the Police Department and ask for open records about that incident. And for further information C. Wilson was later hired in Nixon Texas where he bundled up that department and was later fired by the Chief. This C. Wilson is truly a work of art, he should go back to where ever he came from and give up law enforcement because he is a liability to any Law Enforcement agency.

Outraged: And to you statement there are no other persons liable for these boys. what do you exactly mean outraged? There's no one else to blame but the Deputy. He failed to act.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Sagittarius

Watch out. Your mind is working overtime in full analytical mode, but you may be leaping to unfounded conclusions and reading too much into situations. The result of all this is that you might start to suspect someone's honesty or loyalty, and wonder what exactly they're up to. Don't accuse them of anything awful just yet because it may turn out that you were totally wrong about them.
