Friday night's football game

I hear there are some Bandera football players talking trash about the Pearsall Mavericks. Why talk trash? These games should be friendly competitions between to teams not enemies. Each team should respect the their other team's talents.

That's right! That's want Devine thought. They even predict the score to be 56 to 0 and as it turned out it was Mavericks 29 and Devine 24. If it weren't for some penalities it would have been 43 to 24. That's ok call them farm boys even though the majority of then have never set of foot in a farm. There is nothing wrong with being a farm boy because if it weren't for farm boy you wouldn't be eating.

We should thank those farm boys for the food we eat to get so big and strong that we are able to run the score up on teams like yours. It really isn't very difficult to score on a vastly inferior team such as yours.
I don't think we should be enemies either. We each have a role to play here, we are the winners and you are the losers!

I have to say last night's game was a good one. I'm just glad that we hit double digits and put on a fight. Yes, we didn't win and you can say what you want but you need to keep in mind that it's just a game and there is no need for trash talk. I didn't know how rude Bandera people could be. As for the announcer at the game, he was very rude! Never once has our annoncer from Pearsall has made remarks the way your hillbilly deluxe did, I was shocked. We back our boys win or lose and that is what makes a MAVERICK! It takes a community like ours to be proud of what we got and it does not matter to us if we win or loose, just as we know that our boys play fair and enjoy every seacond of it. Our boys played a heck of a game against Devine, and we're just glad we won that game, now I can't wait to see the score of next week's game BANDERA VS. DEVINE! That should be very interesting!!!!!

Your proud of double digits? Your extremely lucky with the way Bandera played last night they didn't put up triple digits. I can tell winning or losing means nothing to you.

I would also like to add, I have never been to a game that has lasted so long with their homecoming events. Who cares about the old dinosaurs that attended BHS? It's all about the present, it was a BIG WASTE OF TIME! And who in their right mind would put MEN/WOMEN restrooms together? Has you're school thought about maybe some man going into the women's and easily rape someone? Ya'll are so way into your heads about the game and who wins and do not think of the saftey of others!

Well if you can't beat them talk about their restrooms. Makes no sense unless you just lost a game you said you were going to win. Who is crying now??

Our community is close and we don't belittle our elders , no we respect them and it's not a waste of time it's called respect. Maybe your team and fans could sit up and take a lesson from the MIGHTY BULLDOGS. It was a good game though and I know your team did it's best and in the end that is all that ever matters. The score will soon be forgotten but spirit lasts a lifetime. Good luck and we will see you down the road.

Yes, and hopefully when Bandera comes over here, they will show some respect and class. Those low life's broke into our buses and stoled from our students on Thursday night! It was not our fault you had an injured player. Were we supposed to wait til' he was all better? This was a very competitive game and there can only be 1 winner....the winner was the MAVS! I wish they would get the respect and credit they have earned! Great job Mavs!
Now...when you put your quarterback in for Hondo we'll see what you can do.
