Poor Moe the Chimp
|
I feel sorry for Moe the Chimp but certainly not James and LaDonna Davis. We get what we deserve an dit isn't always good. LaDonna wanted to know "who" Karma was, well I think you are looking her in the face Ladonna. Moe was safe where he was, now he is lost. He was moved 4 times in the past few years which I dpon't feel was in his best interest. But then this is just my opinion!

Ladonna and St. James only wanted what was in Moe's best interest. Regardless of what people may think, Moe was their child. Animal lovers can relate. Lets see how the story unfolds.

If the Davis's were more appreciative to those who've cared for Moe in the past, and easier to work with, Moe wouldn't have had to have been moved 4 times. Everyone who knows Moe, loves Moe, and while my heart goes out to the Davises I know that there are many others who've cared for Moe who are suffering too. My best to all of Moe's friends and admirers. Let's hope he turns up safe and soon!

they should have left Moe in Covina, the home he knew for many many years.. they say that primates have the tendency to return to thier habitats.. maybe he's on his way home to Covina, wouldent that be something!! I hope he has a safe return, wherever he may end up. Moe has touched so many people, we all want him to be ok..

Mom in Monchair sounds like a nut like LaDonna and St james, they don't care about that chimp, just money and publicity. If Moe had any rights he would be taken away and put in a proper santuary. Animal Haven was the best place for that chimp.

I grew up with Moe. He lived down the street from me and we are about the same age. As a child, I ate lunch with him at his house. He took my hand and gave me a tour of his room and his "potty seat" on the toilet. I took him to my third grade class to "share" him with my classmates. He and St. James stopped by our neighborhood kool-aid stand to buy a drink from us. Moe politely handed me the quarter for the kool-aid. I loved Moe, and LaDonna and St James were always kind to me, as well. I don't pretend to know what is best for Moe. I haven't seen him in many years. I do know, however, that LaDonna and St. James love Moe, not the publicity, and I can't imagine there's really been very much money associated with taking care of him over the years. Perhaps people not directly involved in the situation are not the best ones to decide what's best for Moe. I hope he's okay.

where did you get the idea that this is about money and publicity? I think your the nut, learn how to spell, its montclair, not monchair... and its obvious that this so called animal haven was not the best place if they were unable to secure him.. if it was so good.. tell me, where is Moe?? Not in his cage right? friend of Moes wrote: Mom in Monchair sounds like a nut like LaDonna and St james, they don't care about that chimp, just money and publicity. How about some volunteers? This is rugged country. The Desert. The Forest. Moe will be getting water, closeby. We hope. The closest watering hole to where he departed the Santuary is Lytle Creek. Now can't we get beyond blame or the past which can't be changed. Let's find Moe. For Moe. Not for everyone else's selfish reasons. It's snake season. It's hot. He is domesticated. Anyone seriously interested in getting involved?

I agree.. I really hope Moe is found, its not a place for him to be all alone, my fear is the nearby freeways and the mountain roads, I only hope that people driving these area's remember he's out there and they are careful. I beleive that they have requested volunteers, SB Fire and Police have also volunteered some of there personell and equipment. Birdie wrote: How about some volunteers? This is rugged country. I would like ot help look but am not sure where to start.

Scary to think he may be so close to the freeway. Just 2 weeks ago, I passed by a dead mountain lion on the northbound 15 near Kenwood. The lion was laying next to the k-rail in the center divider. I hope Moe is found ok soon.

Mom in Montclair I am sorry I got angry with you. I am just angry at the situation. Moe is such a nice chimp, but he doesn't have the normal chimp behavior at all. He is very kind to people he knows. He will try to attack animals if he is approached. Animal Haven is not the santuary he got loose from, that is where St. James was attacked, which is very unfortunate, for St. James. But is still was the best place for Moe, he was very happy there. St. James and La Donna should have never had this chimp, he has suffered so much. The santuary is in Riverside, they have volunteers looking. I just hope that if and when Moe if found that he is taken away from St. James and LaDonna, and he can start to live as normal and happy life that is possible for him.

Very sad situation. Moe was not involved with the attack on james davis. Yes Haven was a wonderful place for Moe, they loved h im very much there. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it is the Davis chimp on the outside. I wonder will they continue the lawsuit against Haven now that it their "Son" that has managed to escape as well. And to childhood friend of Moe, if you knew Moe back in West Covina then you should remember how SMALL his cage was and how many times the Davises let him escape from it putting people of the city in chaos. I hope the state takes Moe when he does return.

And if one doesn't think there is sympathy plays in motion over this escape then please explain why james doesn't leave his nose on for the interviews... It is absolutely disgusting of him to remove it.

I think they said if you wish to help with the search, meet at the Shell station off the 15 and Sierra (I think). It was at 10 ish I believe. I hope they find him soon. Time is limited for him. The weather is hot and so are human tempers.
