I think they should i have to pass random drug test for their check. I'm required to pass randoms where i work. Point being i have t pass drug test to get my paycheck,
and they should too. I can think of several people that get welfare that have drug prtoblems.

It shouldn't be limited to just welfare. The testing would have to be fair, so those receiving SSI, disability, etc should also be tested

Yes I think they should and the only people who would disagree would be the dummies who can't pass it.

Lol, the old "If you don't support us, you are a terrorist" attitude.

I'm not saying having it is right or wrong, but not having the option to disagree without being labeled as a user is kind of ridiculous.

My son is 5 his real mom hasn't seen him in 3 years and still recieves food stamps and a check for him. I tried to turn her in and they wont do anything about it. She has a bad drug habbit like selling the food stamps and spending the checK on pain pills. Thats why i posted this there should be something done and noone in the government office will do shit about it. The state could save money and probably jobs by doing this.

Everybody that gets money from the government should be drug tested. Plus the recipients should be charged for the testing. Further if they flunk they should not be able to apply again.
of course

I agree they should be tested but if they can't afford food how are they going to afford to pay for a drug test? I think if they flunk they shouldn't be able to apply for 6 months or even a year.

Very much so! But I don't know an answer.. There are many, many variables that have to be considered and the answer is not a simple one

Russia is a good example of a current country that doesn't care at all for the addicted. The heroin coming up from Afghanistan is cheaper and more potent than ever before, and the political/economical situation is driving people to use.

The addicted have no way of getting any treatment or support, so they turn to way more dangerous drugs like Krokodil, if you don't know what that is, youtube it, but I warn you it is quite graphic.

Basically it's a kitchen synthesis that yields desomorphine, but it's so impure and nasty that people's skin turn scaly (hence the name) and they actually start to rot leaving exposed bone. A user's life expectancy is under 2 years.

Now for the crowd that says "well f' those junkies" that is good an all, but now you have some REAL diseases festering and infection your country.

So as you can see by just this one example, the solution isn't just to turn a blind eye. Government money HAS to be put toward treatment/prevention.

Again your right Im a retired army sgt. Ive been all over the world and people wont belive how bad it is unless they see it. But if we stop the flow of our money going overseas at least we could better help are own people that are on drugs and give them better treatment

There are programs for the people that would like to get off the drugs. They just have to want to do so. So they should be tested to get the government checks For Every Type Of Check This Would Stop The Spending Of All The Money That People Work The As'e Off For ... But Then Also You Would Have More Robberys And Such So Lets Just Fry Them All

I do believe this should be a law. If we have to have a drug test to work to pay taxes, they should have to also be drug free to get some of the money we pay in for taxes.

I agree. Welfare and SSI people should be drug tested , and people who's only income is child support. I totally support random drug screens when people receive free money from us tax payers.
no thanx

alot of people on ssi n other disabilities have mental problems and seriously need help and alot of them do have drug problems so if they wouldnt pass a drug test cutting them off isnt the answer but programs to treat all the disorders omg people
