Has anyone else heard or have any information about Coach Pilcher receiving a job over at Valdosta High School?

Depending on the amount of money involved. If it is more, why on earth wouldn't he? What does Bainbridge have that Valdosta doesn't?

From what im reading i have not seen Pilchers name mentioned at all other than in someone saying VHS should look at him, im reading a lot of North Ga. coaches to be there next season, but you never know.

Does anyone really give a shit about this?

who really cares wether this coach leaves or stays? i dont thats for sure.he makes way to much money gets a five thousand dollar bonus for every game they won! he is put up in a house in Lake Douglas,has a car furnished to him to drive.so yeah he can go on to valdosta. I can tell u this they certainly dont want him back in thomasville!! they cant stand him.football is not the only sport.but the boys are treated like damn gold! when they have practice at the end of the practice they have a bus that goes and takes all their asses home.but any other sport does not get the same treatment.their parents have to take them and pick them up after practice or games.so why should football players get all this special treatment?its not like they are the greatest team. so yeah he can go.he only came here because of the new high school, he said he would be the "first coach" there.so guess he's ready to move on. so i say farewell!!!

Actually I feel that any sport is important to whoever plays, but you were the one who came on here and started bashing football no one said anything about downing another sport, so it looks like you are the dumb one here. We have had many good teams in the past, just no one to coach them, and now we have a proven coach and it would be nice to keep him around, whats going on here is you just know nothing about football and feel you need to down people who do know and care about it. so go start a thread about a sport you like that no one else cares for and talk about it. Go Cats and Wrong, you guys make perfect sense.

I applaud Pilcher for making sure his players get home after practice and they are not running the streets. What is ashame is that the other sports coaches don't follow his lead and do the same with their players.

Name one other sport that brings in money like football does. Exactly! I feel that every sport is important to the person who is involved, but seriously, football is the biggest sport in this town, its actually the biggest sport in 99% of southern towns. I dont know what you are all mad abou, its just the truth. And we have a good coach who is building a program here.

I think its reasonable for the football team and coach pilcher to get treatment that coincides with the amount of time and effort that they put into the program,the fact is- there is no other activity that a highschool student could do that would require as much time and effort as being on the football team. The fact is you either didnt have what it takes to play the sport, or you dont have what it takes, so consequenty you are striking out at the team. It must be frustrating to know that other people are getting alot of credit for something you or your kids are too much of a pussy to do. Football is a huge part of this town, and judging from the size and athleticism of the bearcats team this year and the size of the other teams, i would say they did a pretty damn good job. also, football and basketball are the only sports people keep up with around here, no one gives a fuck about wrestling or baseball or any of the other minimal effort sports around here. The players and coaches on the team work harder than anyone else at the school, so if they need a bus to get kids home, let them have it. And if you dont like the team or the coaches then.. fuck you, we dont need your imput on here anyways. People were trying to have a discussion about the coaches and it was going just fine without ur input. and yes we will sit and cheer for the football team, so go take ur ass back to the swimming pool or the golf course or the wrestling mat and join the other 20 parents that actually care about those fuck ass sports.

You people need to realize that pilcher is probably the best thing thats happened to bainbridge high in a long time! im a sophmore there and i would know:) Pilcher is a great coach and probably in the top 10 coaches of the state. Not only is he the football coach but he supports all of the other sports too! and for the season record last and this year, he cant help that he just had two sorry classes of seniors both years!

Don't know about the feelings of this year's Sr's, but last year's Sr.'s never felt a connection with Pilcher...
And as a parent, nor have I. But then again, I don't have the $$$ associated with my name, nor do I kiss ass.
