Is Dr, Garnet a Saint or Scammer

Ive Heard several stories about Garnets vacation/ retirement home. Did his Daughter build the house or did he pay for it with chuch money. does anyone know?

Nobody will ever know the truth...this man used to be a used car salesman. We all know that a used car salesman equals a LIAR!

Maybe he thinks "retirement home" sounds a little more acceptable than "vacation home", but whatever he calls it this preacher doesnt make a salary that affords a $300,000+ home. I doubt many of his parishioners have a home this expensive. For right now only he and the good Lord know for sure but as time goes by the truth will come out.

His daughter is the one paying for the house.

There have been stories over the years about mr. garnet. some dont like the idea that loves to hunt and mount god's creatures on his wall the way he does. personally, ive never seen a preacher that loved to kill as much as him (wildlife, that is).

Some people think the moon and stars rise over his head. and they are entitled to their belief.
Everyone is. stop and think about it; just because people dont care for his way of living, his extracurricular ways of making money (used car lot), hunting big game, etc. doesnt necessarily make him a bad man. Personally i dont approve but who am i? It is none of my business to judge him. Not unless it starts to affect me or mine. Then its a differenct story, then i have the right to listen to the facts, the gossip, whatever and voice my opinion in a somewhat educated way.

Im sure that if he says his daughter is paying for it, she is. I would hope that as slick a preacher as dr. garnet is, that he wouldnt leave himself open to being set up with something like that.

So, for the time being, lets just see how it plays out and then, depending on the outcome, we wont be putting ourselves in a position to 'eat crow'..lol.

I remember when he was kicked out of Calvary Baptist Church for "borrowing" money from Mr. James Floyd and then deciding that he didn't have to pay it back.

I remember when he was the preacher at Calvary and his daughter was a "teacher" at Calvary Christian Academy who wore a bikini under dress and would tell the teenage boys how she went home at lunch to sun bathe.

I remember when he was the preacher at Calvary and his son was the janitor for Calvary Christian Academy and he had a child out of wedlock and his father refused to allow him to claim the child.

I remember when he was the preacher at Calvary and was given his Doctor title.

In my opinion Carl G. Garnett is a crook, a liar, and a thief. Then again so is Ricky Musgrove. Anyone who knows Ricky knows he is a drunk and mean as a snake. Hmmmmm would have thought they were a perfect match!!!

- Anyone who believes that Preacherman "set the record straight" with his video performance is just as gullible as the Kool-aid crowd sitting there listening to him on Sundays.
- Everyone knows that the word "crook" has been synonymous with "Garnett" long before this incident with Climax Construction. He's had problems in his business dealings for years.
- Business and Religion just do not mix. Maybe Garnett should decide if he wants to Preach or sell Real Estate. I think he's found out that the money is easier in Preaching.

I have known Ricky Musgrove for over three years and have never seen him drink an alcoholic beverage. I know in the past he did his share of drinking and he has never denied it. If you aske him he will tell you the same thing and he will also tell you that it has been over 6 years since he had a drink. Anytime our family has needed help with anything, Ricky has been only a phone call away. Ricky has always been straight up and honest with us.

I have never met Preacher Garrett, but if first impressions mean anything,here goes. His video he put on internet gave me the same impression as Richard Nixson when he said "I am not a crook" and Bill Clinton when he said "I did not have sex with that woman" . Quite naturally. he has done nothing wrong and Ricky Musgrove has made him miserable for no reason. It doesn't work that way. Why would a contractor who has a perfectly good reputation allof a sudden start doing such sloppy work and walk out on a job that's 90% finished. Makes no sense. The preacher said Mr. Musgrove told him he was going to take him for all he could get. Does it sound like the truth for someone to say "you owe me money and if you don't pay I willhave to take you to court and I will try to get all I can for the work I have done. Does to me . Not at all like Preacher Garrett said. Totally out of context. Does it make sense when Preacher says "I am not happy with your paint job, You need to hire some qualified painters. Contractor says These are my painters I always use and with the bid I gave you I can't afford to hire a new crew. Makes sense but somehow it doesn"t sound like what the preacher stated. As far as the garage, the preacher changed the plans from the front to the side. He was told he needed to bring in aload of dirt and remove a stump since this was not in the original estimate. Should the contractor pay for the changes or the Preacher? No Brainer. There is a logical expanation for all the preachers charges. He has twisted the truth so much. All I ca say is there is only one perfect house and that is the house of the Lord. Does Preacher Garrett have a title we don"t know about?

The United State is in serious trouble due to the years of people wanting something for nothing but it is a sadder state of affair when a man the proclaims to be a pastor doesn't want to pay his debt. I am sure that Mr. Garnett has preached messages on tithing and how his congregation should give what is owed to the Lord. In regards to the painters used, it is my understanding that Mr. Garnett tried to hire one of them to come to Bainbridge and do some work for him since the painting at this retirement home. If they did such lousy work why on earth would anyone want to hire them for another job. Sounds squirrelly to me. As for the unfinished job, I have personally seen photos taken of this home and if it is unfinished then I need to know what the new definition of finished is. I guess it is called changing your mind after plans are drawn and then wanting your contractor to eat the costs. I have known Ricky Musgrove for several years and know several jobs that he has done and I have never heard anyone complain before. I do not know of any other suit that he has had to file until this one which is heartbreaking that it has to be with a pastor. I know a lot of hard working americans that would love to own this beautiful home but cannot afford it. I must be in the wrong career or business because I could never afford such an expensive gift for my parents. What does his daughter do? I completely agree that a pastor should be taken care of but this is a 2nd home and a little bit extreme I think. Mr. Garnett wants people to give to their programs but how much money has he contributed? This home is going to be used by the church for retreats, etc. Interesting to know if any monies will be paid for the use. God holds pastors and teachers of his word to a high standard and God is the perfect judge. I am not saying that Ricky is perfect because there has never been but one perfect man that has ever walked this earth and that ever will walk this earth and that is Jesus but I have never heard Ricky state that he was perfect. It is my understanding that Ricky's son passed the board and is a lawyer and if that is the case isn't it possible that he was calling as a an employee of a law firm and not just on the behalf of his dad. Mr. Garnett if your daughter loves you so much to build you a fine home don't you think Ricky's son loves him enough to look out for his best interest. Ricky actually works for a living, do you? God's word says the Truth shall set you free and you shall be free in deed. We all need to Walk the Walk and not just Talk the Talk. Talk is cheap!

I know Ricky and yeah, he drank years ago when he was younger. But not any more.
And he's honest about it, doesn't try to hide it or pretend it was never that way.
His past drinking doesn't have a thing to do with this issue. But his honesty does.

I do not know Mr. Garnett but I have learned a lot about him since this lawsuit came about. He seems to want people to call him Dr. Garnett. Is he a doctor of medicine or God? From what I have learned it is he who needs to learn how to be honest. I thought a man of the cloth is suppose to try and win souls to Christ and not judge them or criticize them. I know Mr. Musgrove and he is honest. It is true, years ago he drank, but he doesn't anymore. He has been in construction for many years and he has always done quality work. He has never had anyone sue him or he has never had to sue anyone to get his money for the work he did. Mr. Musgrove has always took pride in doing a good job and he has did hundreds of good jobs over the years for many people and many of these people or willing to testify to that fact. Mr. Garnett should be ashamed of himself for sitting in the church office at the House of God and talk about one of the lord's children that way. In case you don't know Mr. Garnett that is not the way to win souls for the Lord. Do you think the good Lord would approve? I think not! In fact, I think you should take out your bible and read what it says a preacher should do and what it says about lying. You should be getting on your knees and asking God's forgiveness because you need a lot more of it than Ricky Musgrove.

In this case concerning Dr. Garnet and Climax Construction, I would like to state some facts about Ricky Musgrove because I know him personally and professionally a lot better than Dr. Garnett. Fact: He does have a colorful past, but that's just it (THE PAST). Fact: He appears to talk gruff because he is loud. The reason for this is because he is hard of hearing. Fact: He served in our military at a young age and when he got out, he started in construction work and has been doing this all his adult life. Fact: He lives a modest lifestyle out in the country. He has a small house in the country ( maybe 800 to 1000 square feet). He loves animals. He has dogs, chickens, goats, peacocks and horses. Fact: He works 12 to 14 hours a day. When so many construction companies have gone under, he still has plenty of work due to his work ethic, honesty and he doesn't try to overcharge. If anyone knows any redeming qualities about Dr. Garnet, let us know. I am beginning to think the man doesn't have any. Dr. Garnet made the statement Ricky has hurt his "people" with all this. I think Dr. Garnet did apretty good job of it himself. If I was in his congrgation I would be embarrassed to have him as my preacher. Dr. Garnet opened up this can of worms by his comments in the paper and his stinging remarks. Has anyone seen any remarks made by Ricky or a slanderous video . NO and you won't.
