Where did it say he was driving a county vehicle? Chances are that he called a marked car to make the stop for him. I doubt seriously that every detail of the arrest was included in that story.

Aka 1, i asked that investigator and guess what, he was on his personal vehicle. You shouldn't be so quick to assume. Grow a set next time and call and ask him. Bet he will answer you just like he did me.

well county vehicle or not.....look what he got off the street!!!!so in other words if they are off duty and in a county vehicle and saw some one trying to sell or use drugs with your child, then they should ignore it because they are "off" duty? yea rite!!! you must be a user or a seller? hummmm

I don't see what the big deal is by him asking if he was on a county vehicle on his day off. It is our responsibility to question the actions of our public workers and elected officials! In this case, I do not believe there was any wrong doing, but I do know that these people are not perfect and mistakes are made. Anyone who jumps on someone for asking a simple question is either law enforcement themselves or people that don't understand these people work for the taxpayer and are not above reproach.
Great Job to the investigator who was very observant and made the bust. It is amazing to me that the same people are the ones getting arrested over, and over again. They can't seem to figure out that they are being watched and is just a matter of time before they go down.

Excellent example of great police work. I dont give a darn if he was in a county vehicle, his vehicle, bicycle, he can use my truck. As long as this great work continues. If he was in a county vehicle, which on this day he was not...he was still doing his job. At least he didn't ignore it. Great Job. You call can sit outside wal-mart and look at people and just about pick out the meth makers. I hope they all get caught like this.

It wasn't that aka 1 asked, in fact he\she didn't, he\she ASSUMED instead of asking and THAT is the problem. There is no problem with questioning, its when you assume the answer that problems are created. I'm not law enforcement, I just happen to possess the backbone to ASK the question, and hear the answer before passing on false info. I'm smart like that.

Why ask such a stupid question to start with? Just to keep conversation going. Let it alone, to bad many more are not taken out just by observing.

He could have been the on call investigator. They get woke up all hours of the night and have to respond. Thus, the county vehicle. It is common for those on call or that have to respond at night to be able to take their work vehicle home. When a crime occurs minutes make the difference in results. No one wants a deputy to have to drive to the office and switch out vehicles then track a suspect. It actually makes sense to have a work car.

"Same cop" "off duty" "his truck" made cases like this before. Infact does it often so I read. Sex offender incident few weeks ago on bainbridgega. Aka 1 should ask a few cops. You and your kind make me sick aka1! Cops like this don't deserved to be put on trial for going above and beyond. They can use my vehicle. Oh, guess you would find something wrong with that too.

AKA 1 we haven't seen you do anything. If I had to guess you're a deputy or police officers posting under that name. That would make you a officer without a pair.

Well all I did was asked a simple question. I read the story from walb.com . In the report it states that the deputy was on his day off. Then he followed the person and pulled them over. if it was his day off why was he on the county vehicle. I have some concerns as a TAX PAYER.

AKA 1, maybe your question could have been worded differently and you wouldn't have caught so much hell. You didn't ask IF he was driving his work truck on his day off, you asked WHY he was driving his work truck on his day off. The latter makes the claim that in fact he was driving his work truck on his day off and you just want to know why. I too think it is good to question the people who work for us in the proper manner.

There are LOTS of law enforcement that take advantage of what they have at their disposal and should be held accountable, but THIS officer is not the one to be questioning. He is an assset to our county and we all should be appreciative of him and hope that the FBI or GBI don't steal him away from us.

Per capita for a town of our size, yes, we do have alot of people who are uneducated and have simple thinking processes. But for those of us who are many notches up the totem pole of intelligence, we know which posts are stupid and which ones are relevant. Ignore the stupid ones and let those people bash it out amongst themselves. Trust me, it works everytime. Go back and read but just a few of the topics and you will see what I mean.
