<quoted text>Why is there 3 polls on topix about the chief of police job? I havent heard anything about Mr. Funderurke retiring. It almost sounds like someone is really bucking for the job and tries to degrade everyone else, especially the chief. If you are interested in the job why not go to the city manager and apply for it and stop all the talk about everyone else?
I am uncertain as how you could have interpreted my post to be an attack on Larry, or on Dan. Have you taken your meds today?

I always knew you to be a straight shooter, Dan, and if you are in Colquitt, the citizens are lucky. If you arenīt running the department, then it certainly isnīt because youīre not capable, only that you donīt have to. Is Louie Lawson still up that way?
Thanks for the complement. Lawson is now working in donalsonville for Chief Holt.

I know Scott Worsley and have for a very long time. He would be just the one that Bainbridge needs as a chief. He has the experience needed to do a wonderful job and is just the right age, not young or old and could be here long enough to make a big difference. He treats people like he wants to be treated is why officers respect him and enjoy working under him. The public also respects and praises him for the great job he does in Colquitt. He would make officers proud to work for the city of Bainbridge.

There will be problems no matter who is CHIEF. Even if you bring someone in from another town who doesn't know anyone from around here, there will be those at the department who will befriend the person brought in, until they get what they want. We have those sort of people now. This is "a dog eat dog " world. Until people start just being themselves and stop trying to get over on everyone else, this place will not get better.
I agree. Although noone is perfect so whom ever gets the job when it becomes available they will have faults that people will bash them for.
