did you hear on wmgr tv & radio station about new food bank in town to help those in need. will be a good thing if not abused. i understand you do have to fill out paper work to qualify and you are checked out. that is a good thing. This will keep the lazy, only want hand outs, from getting the food that qualified people need. there are a lot of families in bainbridge that could really use this service.

Theres a group, Angel Food Ministries, i don't think its a food bank per say, but they have like these grocery packages that include meats, fresh veggies, dairy, etc. for amazing prices. The best thing is they serve everyone regardless of income. Every month the come out with a new menu of choices, theres something for every household! We have saved alot on our grocery bill. I know theres one in D'ville that you can order from but not sure if theres one in B'dge. I think they even accept food stamps.

If you missed the deadline at the site location; is it too late to order for November if you order online?

the food bank of west bainbridge baptist church does not charge any money, people in real need do not have the money to pay for this food, you just have to qualify and you get food.

Remember to donate and support the Salvation Army, they need funds to be able to help the community. Tax deductable donation, shop in the store, etc etc. Everyone wants something for free but no one wants to give back to the community.

You are right about the Salvation Army. I have heard stories about the lady that runs it and they say that she has embarrassed some of the people when they come in for help and treats them very disrespectfully in front of others.

You are nothing but a trouble maker, on here gossiping about stories when you don't know any facts. Maybe you should do something productive with your life or just get one?

I have personally taken people to the Salvation Army and the were helped in the most professional manner. If you truly need assistance, please give me your email, and I will make arrangements to meet you up there. That said, there is often confusion in this world about genuine need and wants. Sometimes wants need to be sacrificed for needs. I would say that entertainment and luxury should be eliminated in the balancing of needs and wants if one has finite resources. A case in point, if one can afford a pack a day cigarette habit, but need help with feeding a family, perhaps the priorities need to be reevaluated. Ditto for beer. If you are truly hungry, I can help you be fed, just let me know.

regardless of income, food banks are usually for low income or people with no food at all

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
