There is a charity poker room opening in like a week at The Gathering Place (898 N. Van Dyke) in Bad Axe, MI! The tables are high quality casino style tables with cupholders and speed felt...and the tournaments will have GREAT payouts! There will be cash games running as well, with some great action. Come on in to The Gathering Place and ask about the new charity poker room, it will be open next weekend!

Hey is this poker room opening this weekend like the original poster said? I was at the Gathering Place yesterday and I saw the poker tables in the banquet room, nobody was playing yet though, but the tables looked awesome...can't wait to play...

I don't know if you were there last weekend, but the poker room was open. I played some 1-2 no limit, and had a lot of fun, we needed something like this up in Bad Axe. I have to say that I was impressed. The tables had this slick red poker style felt on it, and stainless cupholders were built right in. The guys running the room (I forget their names) were very professional and they would get any game going that the players asked for. We even got a dealers choice 5 or 7 card stud game going! Anyhow, nice room, had 1 big plasma tv, had to be 50" or bigger, good times, I'll definately go back. |

Yes, the poker room is open every weekend, with the exception of the second and third weeks in December of 2009. Otherwise, it is open every Thursday through Sunday.
