Hello,
How about this? It's about time that beer and liquor are taxed. If Gov. Doyle wants to know where to get money to balance the WI budget, just raise the taxes on beer and liquor like taxes on cigarettes have been raised. That will take care of two problems; more money for Wisconsin to balance budget and less drunks on the road killing innocent people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!!! |

Ann,
If you think increasing the tax on beer will keep the drunks off the road, think again. Furthermore, most of the people that drink beer do so in the privacy of their home. If you what to take the drunks off the road just increase the cost of driving drunk. Let the drunk pay not everyone that drinks beer. Wisconsin can balance the budget by not spending more money than they have. I have to live on a budget so I think that the state government should also have to live on a budget. I have a feeling that you just want to dictate you morals value on others and you think that the beer tax will do just that. Tomas |
