Kaufman County Sheriff's Candidate Indicted - News Story - KXAS...

People need to get their facts straight about Eddie Frankum. That man has done nothing wrong. Yall need to investigate Sheriff David Byrnes. He has five federal cases against him and nobody seems to care about that. Here they are: Sexual Discrimination Case #: 3:01-CV-01434, Civil Rights Violation Case #: 3:07-CV-01975, Civil Rights Violation Case#: 3:07-CV-01928, Civil Rights Violation Case#: 3:01-CV-01807, Civil Rights Violation Case#: 3:07-CV-00472. Also too I wish that someone would actually take the time to talk to Eddie Frankum.

I know enough facts about Eddie Frankum. Whether he has committed the crimes that he has recently been indicted for or not, he is my no means an innocent person. I know first hand the he can and will lie to you while looking you in the face. He will lie when the truth is better for everyone involved. Look in to why he is no longer with the Lancaster Police Department or the Longview Police Department.

Slick Eddie is just that. No body needs that piece of slime around them. If you see him RUN!

Byrnes trounces Frankum in sheriff's race

KAUFMAN - Incumbent Sheriff David Byrnes soundly defeated challenger Eddie Frankum in Tuesday's Texas Republican primary, capturing more than three-quarters of the vote.

Byrnes garnered 5,435 votes (75.42 percent) compared to Frankum's 1,771 votes (24.58 percent). Nearly half of Byrnes' support came during early voting as did a third of Frankum's votes.

Byrnes captured 80 percent of early ballots and said he was comfortable predicting victory around 7 p.m. Tuesday. He predicted his lead would decline as the night wore on, particularly after votes from the Forney area - where Frankum lives in Windmill Farms - were counted but that he appreciated the opportunity to continue to serve Kaufman County.

“It's gone well, I'm pleased,” Byrnes said.“I expected my lead to go down somewhat but I feel real good about winning.”

Frankum declined to comment on the results. No Democrats filed for the position and Byrnes will be uncontested in November's general election.

Looks like Frankum is gong to have to find a real job.

Poor, poor Eddie wayne, is about to lose it all..when these indictments (plus many more) finally come to trial , he'll lose his police license, won't be able to get a job as security at wally world. lose his business, lose his home, he'll have plenty of time to think about everyone whom he ever hurt or ruined their careers. pay back......

i jist cain't b'lieve a dirtball politician would do anythin' wrong or illegal. my faith in humanity is all shook up. if we're ever gonna have freedom or democracy in this country...first thing we gotta do...is take out all the politicians..an' shoot'em down like dogs.

To the ones in Azle, which I know you are actually in Pelican Bay, ya'll are all hypocrites. The real dirty politicians are you in your own town. I will say though Eddie was not innocent by any means, but I know first hand that every policitian in Pelican Bay were just as guilty as Eddie was, and they are still conducting illegal practices there. And just like Karma getting back to Eddie, it will you too.

It is true that politicians in Pelican Bay have been crooked for years and some still are, but for those who try and fix a problem seem to be meet head on with even more crooked practices. Hopefully one day the people who live there will have had enough but it may be too late for the rest. Seems like all the good ones just give up and leave before they get caught up in illegal practices, they were the smart ones. And to think it all started over a dumb pig (the real kind).

Pelican Bay has had a bad representation for years in Tarrant County. Known as the Meth capitol of Tarrant County, the city council has been crooked for years and hadn't gotten better. The new Chief was one of the cops that was there in the bad years and was let go by Frankum in a clean up effort in the PD. Now that cop is Cheif, filing charges with the DA without cause or proof. I heard the PD is now filled again with cops of the like who were fired before. Vehicles are in disrepair nothing being done about it. Don't arrest the druggies or the pushers. That place will never change.

What a crook of crap!!! You know nothing about these fine officers who are in place now. While Frankum was in office and after he left, the DA's offices were refusing cases filed by Frankum and the goones who worked for him. Cases are again being accepted by the DA office and being set for court.
This new chief, while working as a reserve officer under Frankum, would not be a party to Frankum's illegal activities and possibly ruin his years in service, resigned on his own...

The police cars are fine and I believe the department will soon be selling one old car. What do you know about drug pushers not being arrested? Got an inside scoop??? Maybe you're a drug pusher they just haven't gooten yet, but they will soon.
Oh yea, by the way, if you know Frankum, tell him to enjoy his freedom for now...It won't last for long...the DA investigators are not done with him...

The comment from Pelican Bay sounds like it was written by the crack head, Trailer Trish aka: TexasBlsm. Some people just want to complain about how bad everything is in Pelican Bay (It really isn't bad) and refuse to do anything t change it. Are you scared that property values are going up and more people will move into our little slice of heaven? We have a nice community, good police and fire protection, a excellent mayor and City Council that cares. Pelican Bay is a nice place to live no matter what anyone says about it. I live here with my family and have many friends who also live here. So if you are just a bitter person who has nothing nice to say, please don't say anything at all.

Pelican Bay has come a long way since I lived there. Eye sores are being removed on a daily basis and people are cleaning their lots and homes.
Many fine people are working very hard to bring this city back to code and it shows.
I tip my hat to all of those who are making a difference.
Now if the city can continue to move forward and get the Safety Complex built to house all the new fire department equipement and the police will have "REAL" offices to work out of.
It will be a fine example of what this city can do to when it puts its heart & soul into bringing pride back to the Bay....YOU GO Guys & Girls,, keep the faith....

Sorry. I only post as myself. I am not required to DO anything or remain quiet. If that were the case then Carol in SC would be required to move here or keep her trap shut as well. As for me being a drunk or a crack head, I can only laugh and ask why then has your great police force not arrested me or my suppliers etc.. etc..???

As of Friday, 11 July, Tarrant County DA drops all charges after former Chief Eddie Frankum. It appears the whole affair was conspiracy between Pelican Bay Chief and Councilwomen and Sheriff of Kaufman County after all. Basicily Pelican Bay couldn't come up with any real evidence against Chief Frankum.
