Review: Overtime Sports Bar & Grill

It was Sunday after Church we decided to do lunch here. There was maybe 2 other patrons so i was not busy at all. However it took 45min. just to get (2) sandwich plates. The steak sandwick tuned out to be too salty, not to mention the bad service. Needless to say we won't be back there ever again.

Be careful of the owners Mark and Chris. They tend to favor thier local friends. Example: A patron approached my table next to his and threaten me not to look over at his table again or else. I did a double take...I said 'say what'? He repeated it again. I don't know how I could offend this person by looking over at his table. Hell I was looking at all tables being you cant miss them. I brought it to the owners attention and it turns out this person is his friend. The owner told me I must be drunk. I was only there alomost an hour. He suggeted that I move to another table. I couldn't belive what i was hearing. Here i am being threatened and they wanted me to move. He did/said nothing to his friend. I was in high hopes this place would turn out to be a place to relax and have fun compared to the other run down places near by. It seems to me in time it is going to be another run down place for local hoodlums to hang out and become thier 'regulars'. Fights break out often here especially during the weekend crowd. BE CAREFUL!

That's funny, on several different levels, and I'm sure none of them intended.

Well, I have a different opinion. I moved to King Billy County back in November with my wife from Maryland. I have frequented OT quite often and thank them for opening up. My wife and I have had a great time there on many occasions and really have met alot of great people here in the area. No, not hoodlums, really nice people both older and younger than us, we are in our 30's by the way. The food is great, actually i wouldn't even call it bar food, definetly restuarant quality food and good portions too. We have seen some great live bands and participated in the karaoke and free poker nights that they hold.

It is actaully funny, I have heard a lot of our new friends mention that "gee i didn't know so and so lived just 3 houses down from me, till i met them in Overtime."

Anyway, I just didn't want OT to get a bad rap from just a few patrons. All buisness have a couple bumps when they first start up operations. I have met Mark and Chris and think they are both great guys and wish them the best of luck. I just hate it when only the people that have a complaint are the ones to post up, kinda like the media, always the bad and never the good. Very rarely do people give positive feedback or comments.

Also, fights don't really happen there, that was a bit exagerated. I have been to the other clubs/bars/sports clubs down in Mechanicsville area and i will gladly stay up in King Billy County

I used to be a very frequent customer until I heard more and more about one of the owners, Mark. Then I started noticing his behavior while on the job. Drinking, threatening the customers, letting his friends walk all over everyone. I tried to over look everything until this past weekend. While trying to get a friend out of the bar (yes, for being too drunk), Mark decides to get in between my friend and I and threatens my friend by saying his gonna kick his you know what if he doesn't get out. Everything would have been fine if he didn't get in the way.

I understand when someone is too drunk and they just need to leave, but threatening a drunk person to fight definitely isn't the way to go. And it's definitely not a professional way to run your business. I definitely lost respect for him when he decided to get in my face and yell at me, while I'm trying to help him out and get the drunk person out of his bar. I might be a girl and he thinks he can get away with it, but I won't take it.

OT will not get anymore of my business or my friends and family! I do wish Chris the best of luck and once Mark is out of there, I will be back. I really enjoy myself there!

GREAT PLACE. All the other people on this post except for one sound like they would kill the mood anyway glad they are'nt coming back.

I am very happy that Overtime has opened up in King William. It's a great place to hang out and the owners are wonderful!
