Arizona Hunting Amendment, Proposition 109
The measure deals with gaming laws in the state. The proposal would give a constitutional protection to the right to hunt in Arizona.
A "YES" vote shall have the effect of: 1. making hunting, fishing and harvesting wildlife a constitutional right, 2. giving the State Legislature exclusive authority to enact laws regulating these activities, 3. prohibiting laws that unreasonably restrict hunting, fishing and harvesting wildlife or the use of traditional means and methods, and 4. establishing hunting and fishing as a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife.
A "NO" vote shall have the effect of retaining the current laws regarding hunting, fishing and harvesting wildlife.
How will you vote on November 2nd?

I think the tables should be turned on the hunters and the deer, turkey, elk, bear, dove, mountain lion, and fish should be give guns to stalk and hunt them.

Citizens of Arizona have long revered the constitutional right to the initiative process. It's served as an important political procedure when our officials fail to act in the public interest. Prop 109 intends to erode this constitutional right on wildlife protection issues. Today the power grab is directed at wildlife. Tomorrow, it could be anything else. That's why I'm voting NO on 109!

My comment had nothing to do with where he or you live, Ed. I too live in Az., and I too vote in Az. You have a perfect right not to enjoy mashed potatoes & gravy, Ed. I'll bet you eat sushi too, Ed. I don't. I also don't care if YOU eat sushi Ed. It has nothing to do with the topic of the discussion. Does it, Ed ? I'm still trying to figure out why you attacked me??

Animals begin their day enjoying the sunshine and then go out to forage for food. In a split second they are mowed down never to return to their families. All for the sake of some gun nut with a desire to kill. The thrill of the kill. When an animal attacks a human it is put down. When an human attacks an animal the same should apply. Animals have the same five senses that we do, and one we don't have. Common sense. Arizona is one goofy state, but I hope this proposition is mowed down, killed, and wiped off the face of the earth. It good to see the vote total leaning to NO.

It good to see the vote total leaning to NO. I so agree. Years ago I use to work with a guy who couldn't wait to take his vacation during hunting season. He would sit up in a tree and wait hoping a deer would walk close enough so he could shoot it. How sick is that? I see these bozos drunk riding their fat butts on their ATVs Hunting from its conception was not a sport. Hunting was a way for people to sustain life. Those times are gone. We live in a world now where cattle, turkey, chicken, fish, etc. are raised purely for consumption. Now, that is entirely another story but that in iteself is enough abuse of animals let alone taking it further. As someone else posted: "hunting is a cowardly sport". I too would like to see the tables turned on these drunk irresponsible hunters. Arizona is a good old boy state and a goofy one at that.

So I guess that your OK with the fact that commercially grown meat is far worse for you than deer or elk or any other naturally grown animal. Have you ever been to a slaughterhouse and see the way the meat is processed?. Meat from hunting is as organic as you can get and it's a lot cleaner than the meat you find in a store, good thing you were not born in the 1800's when you had to kill a chicken for dinner or slaughter a pig, I bet you wouldn't even live through a catastrophe unless someone helped you, the only thing you could contribute would be sex.

Is hunting any less "cruel" than the food you buy in the supermarket? I'll bet venison and Elk are much healthier. If you're a vegan, don't forget plants have feelings too...lol

Maybe if you read my post, I mentioned that but didn't want to get into it. You can eat grass fed beef or free range eggs or free range chickens--stupid. You hunters don't hunt enough to sustain yourselves. It is a sport and you eat it. But it is a sport to you bozos. Just don't give me that bs excuse. You knew what I meant.
