Two arrested and seven charged in underage drinking bust

What a bunch of idiots,they obvisoly live in Livingston County, but what, don't read the news?, For years it has been said this would not be tolerated and people are still dumb enough to serve minors.

So much for the holier than thou affluent section of Geneseo-Lakeville-Livonia. No better than the rest of US hicks south of 5&20.

....in the rest of the world there are no minimum drinking ages for the most part....

In the land of the free we are all created equal though some are MORE equal than others....

chances are they will get a stiffer penalty than if an Officer of the law had done the same....

Well, geez, let them drink, maybe even more of them can kill or be killed on the highways. Might as well start 'em young. I wish we could raise the drinking age, but some people will never be mature enough no matter how old they are.

Do you really think the age limit is what's important? Clearly under aged kids are getting alcohol already. It seems more mature to prepare our teens for responsible drinking than to pretend they won't drink because it's against the law. Teens have always drank and teens always will drink. And if 21 is too young, where would you move it? How old is someone before they're an adult nowadays? When my dad was 17 in the 1970's, he had a wife, a child and a full time job - but according to you he should've been able to drink legally for what? Another 5 years? 6?

When I was 18, the drinking age was still 18. On my 18th birthday someone gave me a bottle of Jack. I finished it that evening. Needless to say, I wasn't about to do that twice and I never had the desire for liquor again (or to wear the clothes I was wearing that day). But now that I am an old(er) man and I look at these 18 year olds today, they all look 13 to me. They don't look like they should be drinking let alone faced with the responsibility to abstain from drinking and driving. But I honestly think that no matter if you start at 18 or 21, legally or not legally, responsible drinking is a process you have to go trough and if you don't learn the ropes from your parents and peers then you are going to learn the hard way (maybe with a bottle of Jack).

personally, I dont think its a matter of age. I think the reason most european countries are having success with a lower drinking age is because at 18, kids are out at bars having their good time and slow down by the time they are 21, and they're ready to get a career and know whats important. If the drinking age is 21, lots of kids get their new drivers license and keep on partying in bars and getting wasted for another couple years until theyre like 23 or so. Honestly its a matter of when you want kids to make their mistakes, when they are 18 and just entering adulthood, or 21 when they should be getting serious about life and a career. Whatever just my opinion.
