Mike, you need to spend a little time reading the criminal code definitions before telling someone they are commiting a crime.

Besides, you publiclly addressed him/her and "name called", he/she responded to someone else, not you. He can't harrass you through someone else. However, he may have a case against you, though!

In any event - just back and forth banter Mike...enough said from me.

BTW - Mike, you might want to check out the City's fiber optic project given what you do and your frustration with Charter - I think they have web site you can get to through the City's site - there is a blog/forum somewhere in there that you can ask questions - FYI (sometimes I use letter too!).

I remember when mayor joe said verizon was coming to town to take care of our internet needs. Now we have to wait for the city to get around to building a whole system.

kinda sounds like a long wait. ive heard the wireless here isnt that good either. and ive been told that i cant even utilize whisper because i live right next to the water tower where the antenna is and i guess the signal is too high in the air to reach at that angle (speculation)although i think there should be enough swr (standing wave ratio) that i should be able to get a signal. charter has been alot better in the past month or so but i would rather do business with someone else. thanks again for the info and if i hear anymore ill be sure to post it.

There's a lot of parks in town that need a restroom before the "greenspace" with a park bench.

It must be done October One!
It must be done October One!
It must be done October One!

Kind of catchy but not sure it will help to keep chanting this.

So all the city administator had to do was talk tough?

While I applaud the City's decision to get the roundabout open, it is my opinion that the project is not ready for traffic.

In the first 16 hours after the roundabout opened, I used it four times. On three of those occasions, traffic traveling eastbound/westbound on Broadway entered the roundabout without slowing down. Two of these vehicles had to be traveling more than 30 miles per hour. I was forced to take evasive actions to avoid an accident on each occasion even though I was in the roundabout and had the right-of-way.

The necessary safety features that are designed to slow and direct traffic (e.g., splitter islands, signage, pavement markings, etc.) are not in place. The area is dangerous for vehicles and pedestrians.

I have always believed in the safety and efficiency of roundabouts. The operation of the first roundabout has proven these points. Unfortunately, the Broadway/Poplar roundabout just isn't ready.

In addition, Poplar Street at Ninth is a bottleneck and another accident waiting to happen. It is almost too narrow for two vehicles to pass safely. The jog in the street and the lack of pavement markings cause people to drive in the center of the narrow roadway.

It is my opinion that the City should close the project until it is completed. Perhaps, they could even complete the project sooner if they are not trying to work around traffic. Even though the intersection is convenient for me, I will continue to avoid it until the work is completed.

The new roundabout is rougher than Lindenthal. It's definitely not done.

We need to give people time to get used to the roundabout being open. Sure the first day or so it's open people will make mistakes, hopefully none that end up in an accident, but after it's open awhile everyone will know and use it the way it's meant to be used. I've used the roundabout a number of times and the traffic has flowed through without a flaw. As far as opening it before construction was finished that's a no win situation. Some of us will gripe because it's open some if it was this far a long and not open. No matter what you do you can't please everyone.

This thing is not done. There's construction trucks blocking lanes, the asphalt looks like it was put in by grade schoolers and Sycamore isn't close to being open.

Why is there only one lane open at 9th Street? It looks like a game of chicken.
