Killeen burglary rate drops

Yea, right! Could it be that the per-capita-ratio has changed since Killeen has just annexed more families that are really living in the country? I'm alarmed at the number of home invasions going on each night. It is scarey to know that Killeen home invasions are more than Waco's and Austins's, much much more.

Go buy a weapon.
A great in-house self defense weapon is a double barreled .410 gauge shotgun. Saw the barrel off to a length of about 12" and load with 00-00 buckshot.
The buckshot will not go through sheetrock, but with the shortened barrel the gun blast will take out anyone in the room.

Burglary drops in Killeen????

Westcliff/Lakeroad Area:
My house was burglarized on Sunday March 16, 2008.

Two Teenagers/Individuals entered my House through the Garage Door with the Code to our Keypad or thru the Back Door which might have been unlocked by my sons friend the night before.
A third Teenager/Individual was 'on Watch' outside my house, texting on a Cell phone.
My TV's where turned on and left on, everything was searched. My Armoire was emptied ...
Taken where Diamond Rings, Gemstone Rings, 3cttw Diamond Bracelet, totaling to nearly $8,000.
My sons Xbox, Xbox360 and Playstation2 including all the Games for these, where also taken.
Totaling to nearly $1,500

What concerns me the most is that the Teenagers/Individuals also took my Semi automatic 380 pistole with 2 clips.

If anyone has any information or has seen or heard anything about this, we would appreciate it if you could contact the Killeen Police Department.

I wish I could help with info about your burlary. But, I can't. I suppose that someone saw these stupid punks. Otherwise you couldn't describe the number and the texting activity. Did you have your 0.380 + clips locked up in a gun safe? If not why not? Now, these stupid punks have your gun to arm themselves while invading another home. Walmart sells a very good pistol strong box very very cheap. It's a steal strong box that can be mounted to your floor, wall, whatever. It's almost impossible to rip out.

My neighbor
saw the "outlook" in front of the house. He gave an exact description to the police but yet nothing was done.
The other two kids also where discribed to the police, many details where given by neighbors but ignored by authorities.
Police say they are for sure who did it but need to proof it.
And we know the other kid who was involved. He hasn't been seen around nor in school lately.
For the clip, no - one was in the pistol, the other was next to it. My own stupidity, I know. I will go and buy a gun safe box for my next pistol. To late for those punks! But eventually WE will get them.

First of all, a home invasion is when someone enters your home forcefully and without your permission when you are AT HOME! When you're not there and they let themselves in, by any means, and take stuff it's burglary.

Yes, KPD has actually put several of these punk lil thugs away! The arrest numbers have nothing to do with the new annexation or per capita ratio. The number of burglaries have gone down because alot of the punks doing it are behind bars! Well..some are out on probation from what I understand but that's because they're juveniles. How does that sit with ya? Pisses me off but that's our reality in Texas. Juvenile law sucks but so do most parents.

You say this with a sarcastic tone and allude to the fact that you think KPD is just sitting on their duff and doing nothing.

SO...if my home was burglarized and I gave a description of someone that could be you should they, KPD, just come arrest you? Of course not. They, KPD, have to build a case in order to put the offenders away. If they don't then they'll be right back out on the street and might just 'hit' your house again! So...be patient. The long arm of justice requires patience. Not my or your fault...just the way it is.

I guess I would expect to be interviewed if someone accused me of burglarizing their home. <:)
I never expected the police just waltz over there and arrest them. But I realy and honestly expected them to interview those purps. I know this kid. It wouldn't take much and he would rattle like a snake. He always needs people to know how "bad" he and his brother are. If you just tell him that you don't believe he could be the one that put this together ... believe me, he would let you know different. I want to talk to him, but he's nowhere around any longer. Don't know what happened to him. And for some reason I realy don't care. Well, in a way!

They may have interviewed them. And the reason you don't see him around could very well be because he's already in a correctional institution! Well...we can hope so right?:)

My method is a little easier, Stick your pistol in your glove box and carry it to and from the car when you get home. Its legal and if you ever walk into a invaded home BOOM you wont have to worry about your shit getting stolen again.
