BLAH WROTE "I can gauruntee that if EVERY employee there was to get a drug test. They WOULD ALL FAIL!" I take serious offense to this statement! My husband, the father of my children, a hard working man works for Ernie's and let me inform you whoever you are, that not only does he NOT do drugs he never has.. You are ignorant to assume that all employees are druggies or do drugs. it would really suck to fight a libel/slander suit quicker than you can spell GUARANTEE!!! I truly hope they pull out a drug test for all employees just to make you be quiet and force you to stop spreading your vicious, venomous SPEW!!! i know MY husband and several others would pass with flying colors. Furthermore, this has NOTHING to do with the blog's intention. noone cares or is concerned about how or what YOU experienced when you worked at Ernie's back when Jesus turned water into wine. There are victims all over this situation and not just the ones in the media.. FOCUS people, right or wrong excessive force or not, this has affected everyone from the family of Mr. Alexis to the children of the employees who were out of work for the week or so to the patrons to the bouncers involved,( do you really believe they feel good about this?).. NOT everything in life is as it appears nor does it automatically involve drug use!! SHAME ON YOU!!.I'm curious though, do we all look like ants to you from the top of your pedestal? Goodness i hope it doesnt rain, your nose is so far up in the air youll surely drown! PLEASE get a grip and FOCUS on the issue.. there's a reason Justice wears a blindfold.Noone has been charged with anything as of right now, ergo there obviously is not suffiecient evidence under THE LAW to warrant arrests. "Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of ones peers" " does anyone feel like this is turning into a remix of Arlo Guthries, alice's restaurant"? c'mon folks the POLICE have the 8x10 color glossy photos with the circles and arrows on the back of each one telling what it is to be used against them? all we need now is a judge with a seeing eye dog.. OH Wait he probably does drugs too..right BLAH?.

HVBDT. Let me begin by saying your right about the focus at hand. Now as of Dru use. Well. If you are right about your husband being clean, then you have nothing to worry about. Right? As for the tests. Your right. TABC should test every Employee there. As far as making threats of a lawsuit?? You can try, but they will tell you. This is the internet. This is a message board, and I have a right to freedom of speech on all of the above.

Its called slander. Yes, this coud be used in a lawsuit. Maybe when you worked there, everyone was on drugs, but how long ago was that again? There are many employees who don't touch drugs. Many of these people have families and other jobs, and wouldn't risk that. I know of one waitress who doesn't even drink. "Someone" was right, stop making stuff up.

In law, defamation (also called vilification, slander, and libel) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. Slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts which arises where one person reveals information which is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person Slander and libel The common law origins of defamation lie in the torts of slander (harmful statement in a transitory form, especially speech) and libel[4][5](harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast), each of which gives a common law right of action. "Defamation" is the general term used internationally, and is used in this article where it is not necessary to distinguish between "slander" and "libel". Libel and slander both require publication.[6] The fundamental distinction between libel and slander lies solely in the form in which the defamatory matter is published. If the offending material is published in some fleeting form, as by spoken words or sounds, sign language, gestures and the like, then this is slander. If it is published in more durable form, for example in written words, film, compact disc (CD), DVD, blogging and the like, then it is considered libel. while were at it go read this its all about ONLINE LIBEL lawsuits!! www.firstamendmentcenter.org/speech/internet/... Again, focus people

Since this is supposed to a blog to show support and pass information, I assume that's what it is for anyway can anyone answer these questions?
Has there been any update? How is everyone involved doing? Has the autopsy come back yet? Has the police finished the investigation?
Awhile back there was a comment that the tapes from Ernie's and another club being reveiwed by the police, have they finished that yet?
I truly hope this will be over soon for everyone. My heart goes out to ALL of you. May God bless ALL whose lives have been affected by this terrible tragedy.
I am from Texas but, this story has touched my heart for several reasons and just wanted send my good wishes and blessings to all.

I agree with most of what you said except for going back and forth with BLAH who I agree must be a druggie or drug pusher if he has all this insight then he should have said something about it sooner... like to the authorities so they could take care of the problem but, this is not the time nor the place to go into it. There are alot of people that have been affected and their feeling should be taken into account. And posts should be information exchanges and best wishes, NOT to attack the employees of the bar or anyone else for that matter. I personally am here to get information and send well wishes to the families. I believe that is what this is for not to argue, facts are facts and it will come out in the end and then maybe EVERYONE involved can have some closure. I sincerely wish EVERYONE this has affected my best wishes and GOD bless you all.

the man was not jumped. he had to have been on something the way this big mofo was fightin off three bouncers. he was asked to leave and he just wouldn't. i went into the bar just before this happened and he harassed me and tried to sell me a cd. i wasn't interested and he definitely wouldn't take no for an answer. this was a tragedy. but that's all it was. he was asked nicely at first but definitely put up a fight and being a small girl, i was definitely worried about getting caught up in this man's fight. everything would have been fine had he just left like he was asked.

You are stupid. A guy does'nt have to be on any drug to fight off multiple people. It is call an adrenaline rush. Second It doesnt matter if he was asked to leave they still had no right to put there hands on him. They could have called the police. Also when things escalated they should not have continued to beat on him. They also had no right to sit on him and detain him. He did take no for an answer without a problem from me and then a few minutes later when my wife met me there. You should not put your 2 cents in this you are too far in left field. mandy wrote: the man was not jumped. he had to have been on something the way this big mofo was fightin off three bouncers. he was asked to leave and he just wouldn't. i went into the bar just before this happened and he harassed me and tried to sell me a cd. i wasn't interested and he definitely wouldn't take no for an answer. this was a tragedy. but that's all it was. he was asked nicely at first but definitely put up a fight and being a small girl, i was definitely worried about getting caught up in this man's fight. everything would have been fine had he just left like he was asked.

That depends. The new CG has not made a final decision. Ernie must come up with a plan to address the problems, I will post if they get the ban lifted. I agree, if it is left off limits to soldiers, they are in trouble.

Again, focus people Very good. Copying and pasting is your thing for sure. Now...let me lead you to the burden of proof. That is a long and dark hallway. There is no judge in their right mind who is going to try to prosecute anyone for posting their opinion on a public forum built for just that purpose. If they decided that they were going to try then they would first have to prove who BLAH is. Good luck with that! First prove who even logged onto the computer that BLAH used to type his messages. If you can even get far enough, legally, to figure out which computer it is and in whose house that or building it resides. I'll just stop at that. If you don't like what people are posting then don't come here and read it. But don't tout some legal jargon that you read somewhere after adding your own twist and expect people to bow down to you and get scared of an empty threat. Because a law suit against someone based on their opinion, that you didn't like, posted on a public forum during an open discussion by the public is just not going to happen. Yes...there have been text messages, IM logs and postings on certain message boards used as evidence in cases to prosecute sex offenders and murders but they were by no means the pillar of evidence that secured the prosecution and, in most cases, were pulled directly off of a computer obtained by the suspect during a warrant search. So...focus people....on reality! Now...on with the discussion.
