What? Are you trying to get a raise or something? Here's one for you little miss 19 yr old office helper, I have known the facts for years and I'm closer then you think "SWEETIE"!!! Understand this; the board members did not make the decision to replace Terri & Hans for no reason at all. They had many. I'm surprised this did not happen sooner, and yes Terri is a nice person but $$$ can make people do some crazy things!!(IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) And I'm sorry you dont play with people's $$$$!!!You dont lie to stock-holders and start ripping up the beer garden and parking lot And you definatley dont do these things without "PERMITS" SWEETIE!

It doesn't look too bad after all if they stayed for a long time. right? You must have been fired for stealing. I think I know who u r. I guess being fired left a bad taste in ur mouth.. I guess it would for me, too had I been fired. So get a life and STFU..

This was a hostile take over. there is a lot more to this story than the "upgrade plans". Teri and Hans Rotter were stabbed in the back by their traitorous daughter and son-in-law. The daughter and son-in-law think they can run this business but they have NO IDEA WHAT IT TAKES. Teri and Hans gave them two businesses already that have failed due to the son-in-law and daughter's lack of skills. The bit in the article about giving management to the daughter and son-in-law because of their "familiarity with the business" is a load of crap. They had nothing to do with running the business and have no clue what it entails. The board and the son-in-law waited until Hans was sick to make this decision. Hans wasn't even at the meeting, he was in the hospital when the takeover was decided. Without Hans and Teri, Alpine Village will fall.

Aunti Terri, you are the bomb!! All this crap that's been written and said about you by those who are envious & jealous of you will soon pass. The writer from the newspaper who did the article from an "anonymous" source is full of KAKA!! We all wish you the best and a speedy recovery for Uncle Hans. You both will always be in our thoughts & prayers. How your daughter turned out to be so greedy is beyond anyone's comprehension. Love to you both!!

Paousa wrote: <quoted text> There has been allot of talk about the Rotters and much of it is true however Terri & Hans need to guide their daughter and son in-law and quit worrying who the boss is!!! I guess Teri and Hans will have to realize that its time to retire and relax, not to mention I hear Hans is mentally ill and Terri should take care of him now!!! Response to Mike: would you kick out your parents from a family business they pured their hearts into for many years? If you are like Andy & Nari, as It sounds like you are, then stay out of this family matter. You are probably a friend of the Wellers, and getting something out of it. You greedy bloodsuckers are all alike. Hope you all fall flat on your asses when you start losing patrons.

response to Paousa.. Now who in the hell told you that Hans is mentally ill? You must have all that dirt from the Alpine village parking lot in your head to even tell us that kind of unture and vicious rumor. If you don't have anything nice to say about a person who is ill, then STFU.. But then again, your mama must be mentally ill so just maybe, you are speaking from first-hand experience.

If they treat their employees like crap, then why do they have so many "long term" employees. Teri and Hans don't do contracts. It seems to me that if someone were being treated so unpleasantly at work, then they would quit.

The board of directors are the ones that decided on the fate of the Rotters. The Village is not owned by the Rotters, it has investors, so I don't think this is a family matter. All of you people that are making comments about the parents and the children are the ones that are involved with the family matter. Get your head out of the Rotters ASSES.

Alpine Village has been a landmark for many years. I would hate to see it go. However, since allowing the illegal immigration swap meet to occur there, it has really gone down hill. Lets see that it gets a face lift, and return it to the wonderful little German village we all knew as kids. The restaurants and deli there are terrific! I would hate to see them replaced with tortilla vendors and more stolen merchandise in a larger swapmeet!

Michelle, were u one of those people that ate at Alpine & then left without paying the bill? Obviously u don't know what good food is and what a clean kitchen looks like. Soo... STFU about Alpine and take your ass to McDonald's where you probably go to anyways.

I've never worked at the village and I know 80% of them and some of them are my friends, I also know Hans & Teri for so many years and they have my 100% support and they know that.

My Husband of ten years and I met at Oktoberfest....it used to be so much fun. Then we started calling it Oktoberfights - it was out of control. The swapmeet is gross and the abandoned cars that park there are awful. I think people even live in that parking lot! This area should be cleaned up, painted and brought back to the 90's way of life!

I can tell by your remark "suckingtary" that your familiar with that parking lot and the ghetto yourself!! What type of person would think of a word like that??? And...lets not forget this is about the Rotters and what they are going thru at this time. NOW YOU GO FIGURE!!!

I know many employees at the Village and have been going there every week-nd for over 25 yrs and never has any employee said a bad thing about Hans & Terri. They are good people and we should all pray that this whole matter gets resolved soon!!! I love the October Fest and I know that no matter how this all turns out Hans and Terri will do all they can to make sure the October Fest is here again in 2008. My heart goes out to them both.

Such upheaval!!! As a former employee that worked at the market for a large part of the 90's, Terry and Hans were out of sight and out of mind for the majority of time.
Those that made Alpine Village/Market charming are no longer there...Fred, Paula, Annie, Irene (geez, what a drunk) and Loni among others.
The charm has eroded.
I'm glad to have worked there when I did.
With the personalities there now, I don't think I could work there if I was 17 again.
