Male, and female, circumcision is physical assault upon the human body. Such practices typically are performed upon helpless babies, or upon relatively young children. The German courts got it right.

Surgery is not a suitable alternative for a little basic hygiene.

Cutting off a finger is not a reasonable solution to the fear of developing an infected fingernail in later life.

BLACK PASTORS: LET'S REJECT OBAMA!
Christian leaders turn on president 'stooping to lead country down immoral path'

A group of black pastors is blasting President Obama for his support of homosexual marriage and calling on black pastors across America to stop supporting him.

“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” said Rev. William Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors, in a statement.“The black church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course.

The Coalition of African-American Pastors, or CAAP, has launched a marriage petition at 100000Signatures4Marriage.com . The group describes itself as “a grass-roots movement of African-American Christians who believe in traditional family values such as supporting the role of religion in American public life, protecting the lives of the unborn, and defending the sacred institution of marriage.” It notes that it “is not affiliated with any political party or denomination.”

The announcement followed a press conference this week during the Annual Convention of the African, Methodist, and Episcopal, or AME, Church Convention in Nashville, Tenn. Owens urged the church to actively defend traditional marriage.

“In the midst of this great moral struggle, we are also asking the great AME Church to reaffirm biblical views on marriage that is between one man and one woman,” Owens said.“The AME Church has not taken a position on this important issue in more than 20 years, and it is time to get off the sidelines.”

CAAP has requested a meeting with Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to discuss the same-sex marriage issue.

According to the organization, the White House has not responded to that request.

A letter to the Obama administration read in part:

“We pray for the president.… President Obama is the fulfillment of our dreams for our sons –and he has broken our hearts by using his power and position to endorse as a civil right something that is simply wrong.

“Some things are bigger than the next election.”

When Obama was a U.S. senator, he was a keynote speaker at the AME Church’s 2008 general conference. Just last week, Michelle Obama spoke to a crowd of 10,000 at the 2012 conference in Nashville.

“We were once proud of President Obama, but our pride has turned to shame,” Owens lamented.“The man holding the most powerful position in the world is stooping to lead the country down an immoral path. As AME pastor Luke Robinson said of the president:‘His pronouncement is, in fact, a direct attack on the God of the Bible and the Christian faith.’

He concluded,“It is with this background and strong belief, that we – and the AME pastors who joined with us – challenge the entire African Methodist Episcopal Church to stand with other denominations and speak out against President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage and officially and formally reaffirm support for the Bible’s view of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”

I contend that the percentage of civil servants in the US federal government is 99%(or more) of the total number of people in the US federal government including the "congress people" which you failed to mention in your previous post. You always take things out of context, and come up with your typically clueless remarks.
2. If you want to prove that my 99% percentage figure is incorrect, look it up and prove me wrong. You cannot.
3. You say, "many congress people vote with their party even if they disagree with the issue." (Please forgive me if I take your statement "out of context.")
Boy! What a revelation! Thanks for the "heads-up" on that bit of information.(PS: That's called "politics.")
4. You say Romney made another speech on TV this morning and you were "impressed because he explained how he would get this country back on track again."
It's EASY to make a speech and explain how you are going to solve America's problems. It is DIFFICULT when you have the opposing political party "foot-dragging in lockstep" to block any and all attempts which our President has made in his numerous efforts to get this economy back on track from the ravages by the failing policies of the Bush43 administration.
(And you want the Republicans back IN again, so they can repeat Bush43's mistakes? Utterly clueless!)
5. You can pull the "chat ring" on the new Republican toy "Chatty Romney" and it will say, "You want change? I will empty my pockets!"
OH, you are exactly correct about making speeches. Let me see........how many has Obama made in the last THREE YEARS? By all means, since Obama doesn't have any answers.......let's keep blaming Bush. Obama doesn't take any responsibity at all.....it's all Bush's fault! That record is worn out!!! Wiseup and get your head on straight!

‘SLAP THE S**T OUT OF HIM’: WAYNE BRADY CALLS OUT BILL MAHER FOR RACIAL COMMENTS

Bill Maher’s tortured attempts at being funny have long since stopped being a source of entertainment for us at the Blaze, and have devolved into objects of pity. Still, Maher, who infamously has thrown every accusation of bigotry he can at the GOP while simultaneously calling harmless daughters of politicians he disagrees with “c**ts,” has to be given some credit for retaining his show while simultaneously behaving like Keith Olbermann without filters. It can’t be easy maintaining such a low level of quality while still retaining your own show.

Nevertheless, Maher has gone so far over the line recently that he’s begun catching flak from his own side. We can‘t say we’re surprised by this – being the less funny, less incisive, pay-per-view equivalent of Jon Stewart should have its problems. Unfortunately for Maher, one of those problems is his inability to talk about President Obama without invoking the very racist caricatures that he himself would slam Republicans for using. And at least one of Maher’s reference points, comedian Wayne Brady, is apparently sick of it.

Confused? Let us explain. One of Maher’s complaints about President Obama is, apparently, that he’s not aggressive enough as President. Fair enough – that’s a common complaint among liberals. However, Maher phrases this complaint in a (to put it charitably) risque way – specifically, by complaining that Obama doesn’t act enough like a stereotypical scary black man, instead acting more like a “Wayne Brady” figure. Never mind that these are both stereotypes, and that if any of Obama’s conservative critics said this, they’d be vilified to the ends of the earth. Right now, that‘s the least of Maher’s problems.

You see, Wayne Brady has heard this complaint from Maher, and understandably doesn’t like being turned into a synonym for emasculation. This led Brady, in an interview on a podcast today, to launch into the following hilarious rant and, we suspect, quite cathartic rant against Maher:

But even Bill Maher — like, I’ve had Bill Maher twice now, when referencing Obama, he’s like,‘Yeah, you know, with your Wayne Brady.’ So, that means it’s a diss to Obama to be called me because he wants a brother-brother, or what he perceives. Just because you fuck black hookers, just because you have that particular black experience, and I have to stop myself from getting into it, Bill, because I realize the thing is that if I were to go on his show, or even do it online, I’m not going to win because as soon as you back off, he still has his platform to say whatever he wants to.

argue this one or that one is going to help til the cows come home. wont do no good no how.
until society is ready to address the problems of exponential growth as economic policy our problems will grow at the same rate.
and we ain't ready to tackle that one problem so let the politicians take turns raking in the dough as we consume the whole pie.
as a population we aint got a clue, both parties and the new ones too.

check out a psychologist ted talk on youtube about the different values of repubs and democrats. interesting to all persuasions.
seems we all have the same five basic moral values but republicans value certain ones much higher and democrats value certain of the others much higher.

interesting to see where the other side is coming from unless we prefer to spout repeats with blinders in place and leave the thinking to those less lazy.

Republicans have sabotaged the economic recovery since:

1. Filibustering the American Jobs Act. Last October, Senate Republicans killed a jobs bill proposed by President Obama that would have pumped $447 billion into the economy. Multiple economic analysts predicted the bill would add around two million jobs and hailed it as defense against a double-dip recession. The Congressional Budget Office also scored it as a net deficit reducer over ten years, and the American public supported the bill.

2. Stonewalling monetary stimulus. The Federal Reserve can do enormous good for a depressed economy through more aggressive monetary stimulus, and by tolerating a temporarily higher level of inflation. But with everything from Ron Paul’s anti-inflationary crusade to Rick Perry threatening to lynch Chairman Ben Bernanke, Republicans have browbeaten the Fed into not going down this path. Most damagingly, the GOP repeatedly held up President Obama’s nominations to the Federal Reserve Board during the critical months of the recession, leaving the board without the institutional clout it needed to help the economy.

3. Threatening a debt default. Even though the country didn’t actually hit its debt ceiling last summer, the Republican threat to default on the United States’ outstanding obligations was sufficient to spook financial markets and do real damage to the economy.

4. Cutting discretionary spending in the debt ceiling deal. The deal the GOP extracted as the price for avoiding default imposed around $900 billion in cuts over ten years. It included $30.5 billion in discretionary cuts in 2012 alone, costing the country 0.3 percent in economic growth and 323,000 jobs, according to estimates from the Economic Policy Institute. Starting in 2013, the deal will trigger another $1.2 trillion in cuts over ten years.

5. Cutting discretionary spending in the budget deal. While not as cataclysmic as the debt ceiling brinksmanship, Republicans also threatened a shutdown of the government in early 2011 if cuts were not made to that year’s budget. The deal they struck with the White House cut $38 billion from food stamps, health, education, law enforcement, and low-income programs among others, while sparing defense almost entirely.

There have also been a few near-misses, in which the GOP almost prevented help from coming to the economy. The Republicans in the House delayed a transportation bill that saved as many as 1.9 million jobs. House Committees run by the GOP have passed proposals aimed at cutting billions from food stamps, and the party has repeatedly threatened to kill extensions of unemployment insurance and cuts to the payroll tax.

I haven't read all 55,000 comments but what I have read we have all missed the point.
The earth has finite resources. Our population as a species is growing exponentially. The earth resources, especially fossil fuels cannot last indefinitely. Yet our whole economy is based on growth, population growth, consumption growth. No president is going make it better until we do some reevaluation of goals.
Do a search for "the most important video you will ever see". It has 8 parts and after the first one read by 4 1/2 million so far you may want to watch the rest. Simple math from an old Colorado math professor.
The problems we got ain't the politician's fault. It is yours and mine and til we are ready to face it it ain't gonna get better with this president or that president. The president ain't going to wipe our collective asses. We gotta do something ourselves like a complete reevaluation of where we been and where we want to go.
But I know we won't do jack. Just rave about this bad president (king) then the next one til the merry go round slows then stops.

Nope, not a low life nor a liberal zombie. Nor do I hate people, even radicalized stupid ones. I have provided decent paying jobs for others many years, lots of them.
Now if you were wrong about all that, wonder what else you might be totally wrong about?

Incidently the new polls out yesterday had at the worst Romney tied with Obama. Most, however, had Romney three points ahead.
