God Bless Texas! Seceding sounds like a great idea! As long as this nation is so divided and the Obama and his Democrat thugs keep dividing people, the nation may as well split up. The left wing extremist extortionist socialist pig Democrats can have their own failed states that voted for them. The Socialist States of Amerika. We the People whom the dems HATE, will work to restore the economy on our own and enjoy the fruits of our labor instead of having it redistributed for a bunch of Democrat welfare queens, ours being The Reunited States of America. God Bless Texas!

No, once we break away Mexico's illegals will be going to CA, AZ, and NM. Texas will really control the flow of illegal immigration and drugs. We will arrest the illegals and blow the drug cartels away with the Texas Army, Navy and Air Force! We have the land, oil, natural gas, ports, industries, human resource and the guts to say go FYS!!! We are Texans and proud of it!

That way you can enjoy the lower standard of living, youth riot due to high unemployment. I saw a tent city of homeless people off the highway in Paris recently. You can have your socialism and poor health care/rationing. I see nothing wrong with state leaving the U.S.- we are no longer united liberal. You guys keep pushing it, and the rest of us will beat you.

If you know your history, you know that secession will not be tolerated...Also if you know your history & geography, Texas is a country, it is held in the Union/corporate state through military occupation after the civil war, and today Texas is so contracted into corporate America they couldn't leave anyway... If they should claim their (In)dependence, Mexico will attempt to annex them, which will cause the country known as Texas, to rejoin the corporate U.S.A. for their own safety...Texas would be devoured by Raza in a years time...The wolf is at their door already(so to speak)..

The huffington post lies. I listend to dozens of interviews with the Texas Governor and he never said one thing about succeeding from the union. More left demonizing a good politician.

You bet, GOD BLESS TEXAS, I would move there in a heart beat if they did. Time to stand up to this Marxist crowd, and let them know, get off your ass and figure it out for yourself, Uncle Dummy is not mommy and daddy, and we the 50% who pay tax's are not willing to be your nanny any longer. TEXAS DOESN'T have it's OWN army, airforce, navy...apparently you have been living in somewhat of a fairytale world... and in case you haven't noticed, NOT ALL the oil rights, natural gas rights, water rights, et al, are OWNED by Texas...it's a nice wet dream for you, but it's only a dream... now, go get some Advil and step into reality... ugh.

Don't go so far searching next time they're right here in Sacramento, Arizona and scattered across the country. You see nothing wrong with secession...interesting patriot you are.

texas will not suceed. however the govenor is rite-on. about the fed gov oversteping its power. the constitution clearly says, that power which is not clearly stated and given to the fed gov. is the power of the state. and there is a whole lot of power the fed gov. has assumed that is not given to them in the constitution.its time for all the states to standup and put the fed. gov back in its rightful place.
