Your not listing the Big Kahuna Bar, Grill and Billiard. This is the most beautiful pool hall on all of Long Island. The hace a full resturant and have private parties. I had my husband's 40th Surprise Party and all my guest had a great time. The food was great, the service and the place is just outrages. This pool hall is in a class of its own. The address is 1730 E. Jericho Tpk., Huntington,NY They have a web page thebigkahuna8.com

The Felt Forum in Smithtown was a great place, until, sadly, it closed in 2000. I pretty much lived there in high school.
There were plenty of tables, all kept in good shape. It was mostly a high school and early college crowd. The jukebox didn't have any top 40/dance/hip-hop at all.
There was also a place right where Jericho Turnpike and Deer Park Avenue split (right near the Dix Hills diner), but I can't remember the name of it. I think it's sicned changed owners and/or closed.
I've been to Felt in Commack. It used to be sort of run down, but still a great place to shoot pool. But once they started having wiseguy-wannabes in every night to play Texas hold 'em, it really started going down hill. A Wii belongs in your living room or bedroom, not in a pool hall.

wow, nice to see the game Pool/billards making a come back...actually, it never left my heart. As a kid growing up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn we had MANY MANY pool halls in my home town....as a matter of fact, it was a national passtime right next to baseball in my neighborhood anyway. The only bad thing and I dont know why is that Pool halls can be a HAVEN for gangs or bad kids.....dont know why but its true unfortunatlly. If they can somehow put a stop to this...it would be great. Pool is a great game and good for kids...as long as they dont get into GAMBLING and pool, because this can be a bad issue IF YOU LET IT HAPPEN but, the game of pool is great!! Long live the name of the GREATEST POOL PLAYER OF ALL TIME....MR. FAST EDDIE FELSON....I remember the night be beat Minnesota Fatts for 18 thousand dollars....Fast eddie was so good that night Fatts barely got up to shoot. Way to go Fast eddie...the greatest of them all.

The Loyal Dog Bar at 288 Montauk Hwy,Lindenhurst has open pool table every Saturday. It is a small clean bar that is a great place to hangout on a Saturday afternoon and shoot pool for free. They have one table. I have played there the last 3 Saturdays. Oh, and the bartender is cute.

Lindenhurst? Why don't you just go to Brentwood then. Also, you spend your Saturday afternoon's there? Not much of a life, eh?

In the only documented real-life meeting between these two, Fats won easily - even though Felson was a superior player. http://www.gamemasteronline.com/Archive/FeltT...

Sports bars in pool hall? 1. See "The Hustler". The last thing you need is a good excuse to lose. "Fast Eddie" drinks while he plays. He loses. 2. The table is NOT covered with felt. It's a material from Spain and Belgium known as "beize", the same material as is used in a serge suit. 3. Good players just want a good table and good equipment. "This is Ames, mister. No bowling, no ping-pong. Just pool." (Also from "The Hustler".)
