I love Chik-Fil-A. I will continue to eat food there as long as I have money. Of course, not at the expense of making myself unhealthy. Just saying.

Genesis 2:22-24 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

I don't understand why this is a shock to anyone, I mean they close on Sundays everyone knows that Chick Fil A is a Christian company and a Christian believes marriage is between a man and a woman. I wonder if they will boycott Hobby Lobby next, thats a Christian company also.

I am SICK of the double standard of freedom of speech in this country. Blacks can speak their minds, muslims can speak their minds, gays can speak their minds and nothing happens. NO repercussions. Let a white person speak his or her mind and all hell breaks loose. I may not agree with what is being said, but I completely defend Mr. Cathy's right to say it. Being politically correct is destroying this country and I am sick of it. SCREW being politically correct. Since WHEN does minority rule???? I intend to eat at Chick-fil-A on Aug. 1 and any other day I please. If gays want to cheat themselves out of eating there, WHO CARES???? I don't!

I agree, I never heard Mr. Cathy bad mouth anyone he just said what HE believes. As far as the last post I'm not a racist by any means I have several good friends from other races but I have always wondered why we have "BET-Black Entertainment Television" and The Black Awards? I don't think white people could get away with something like that, and just because I don't agree with it I don't go on national television or the internet trying to start a riot! Even ABC was getting suied for Black men feeling like they were left out of the Bachelor/Bachelorette Show! Come on people find something more productive to fuss about!

I fully support Dan's right to voice his beliefs. I actually admired the company for not caving in to the lure of profits by opening on Sundays. But Dan crossed a line when he placed his belief about gay marriage as something his company supports. I have no complaints if Dan thinks gay marriage is wrong based on the hate, fear and ignorance that book of fables and myths he believes in. None. I applaud them for staying closed on Sundays. But I can't support a BUSINESS that thinks denying US citizens equal rights is a good thing. Frankly, it's just un-American. As such, I'm surprised anyone still eats there. Well, between that and the MSG, of course.

Whose rights have been denied????? Are you kidding me? Does Chick-fil-A refuse to SERVE gays? Just more liberal crap. That explains a lot. That is how YOU interpreted Mr. Cathy's statement????? Give me a break. Personally, I don't care if someone wants to marry a turnip. It won't affect my life one bit, but to say that he is denying someone's rights. OMG. How ridiculous! So, he has a successul business (Of course, that worthless individual we have as a president doesn't think he put the work into it to make it grow.) and it's HIS right is to express his beliefs. Are HIS rights going to be denied? Of course, you liberals would think that's fair. He is not a minority and minorities RULE in YOUR world.

These are the same people who believe the president didn't really say what he said regarding business owners and their work ethic. Are we really surprised they can't put Dan Cathy's comments in the correct context?

I think Chik-Fil-A and the people who support them have every right to express whatever opinion the want. I also think gay people and people who support gay marriage have every right not to spend their money there. I would like to point out this was a comment made by one man and not the entire Chick-Fil-A company and its employees. I say that because I don’t want some crazy nut to assault some poor kid in a Chick-Fil-A uniform thinking he is anti-gay marriage.

Put it in context and you can't deny he's right. WE have the foundation this country provides to thank for the success of small businesses (all businesses, actually) That you listened and still make this comment speaks volumes about you.

That in this great nation we deny the right for certain folks to get married?(Not too long ago it was mixed race couples, you may recall...) Again, Dan can hold whatever belief he wants. Teach it to his kids. Whatever.(Although that's quite a shame) Dan wasn't speaking for himself though. He was speaking for his company. And that's the difference. (and you too on the Obama you didn't build that thing? How disappointing. Have you watched the video?)

You're the one in the minority on that one. I read the full speech, he said exactly what he meant and it came back to bite him like it does every time he goes off teleprompter." The private sector is doing fine", "the police acted stupidly", remember those? Yeah, he was taken "out of context" then too according to his spin doctors. President Obama held the same views as Dan Cathy just 6 months ago. What do you think changed his mind after 40+ years on this Earth?

I get the logic. Since the government is REALLY responsible for the success of CFA the Cathys don't have 1st Amendment rights like non business owners do. I get it Joe, you've shown me the liberal progressive light! Hallelujah!! Praise Government!

Mr Cathy most certainly is NOT taking away anyone's rights. He is not in a position to do so. Disappointed? I'm disappointed that you STILL defend that worthless excuse for a leader. Yes, I've watched the video. You are making excuses for a most insulting remark made by a spineless fool who has nothing but disdain for our country. Go ahead. Vote for that reckless renegade again.
