Tell me just what is this religion called that you teach which doesn't use the Gospels, surely not Christian.

This in no way means the Gospels are inferior just as the Gospels do not mean the Old Testament is inferior. The Old Testament is the New concealed and The New Testament is the Old revealed.

This is the way I concluded that post. Jesus message was to those under the Law. It has to be understood in that context. God told Abraham to walk through the land and that every place he walked on God would give it to him. That was a message to a particular person. I can not claim that for me because it was to Abraham personally. When Jesus healed the leper he sent him to the Temple and the Priest. The book of Hebrews warns its readers that they better not return to the Temple.A change occurred in the book of Acts. A change the Gospels told us would come. The Old Covenant ( Old Testament ) was set aside and a New Covenant( New Testament ) came into effect.

It is hard to explain the truths of the Bible to those who are ignorant of the Bible. I have already explained this once. How many times will it take to sink in.

What kind of teaching is this? It is what sound Bible teachers have taught all along. Harry Ironside, G.H Pember, William Kelly, J.A. Seiss, Merril Unger,Lewis Sperry Chafer, A.C. Gaebelein, G.H. Lang Etc.taught exactly what I teach.

What was posted needs no further comments....the manuscripts fit into the post as stated. The bible probably will be here for eons to come. That doesn't make it 'all' facts, bottom line no more factual.

This appears to state that the Bible we have today is not the same as it was originally. I was pointing out that the manuscript evidence shows it is the same.I will take this then as an admission on your part that the Bible has not changed over the years.

No it does not, there have been changes... original manuscripts have been altered and changed, and you left out the most important part:"The bible probably will be here for eons to come. That doesn't make it 'all' facts, bottom line no more factual".
It is a translated, and re-translated text that is a mixture of satire, mythology, fantasy, metaphors, allegory, etc., promulgated by self anointed individuals, and later sustained by the same kind of individuals as a "church" that chose what text would be THE BIBLE, then they burned people at the stake, beheaded them, boiled them in oil and did all manner of "EVIL" to mankind in the name of these chosen doctrines and texts for "a being" as Jefferson wrote.."of terrific character-cruel, vindictive, capricious and unjust."

In other words the followers of such text and doctrines came to be just as the "ONE" they served: well perhaps until late, when now arrives the PICK AND CHOOSE, THOSE THAT PICK AND CHOOSE SCRIPTURE TO FIT INTO THEIR BEHAVIOR MODE, LIFE STYLES AND SOCIALIZATION PROCESS.

Scientific facts speak for themselves. Beliefs and opinions are just that, and everyone is entitled to his/her beliefs, but not his/her own facts. Sentiment can have a tendency to cloud the truth. And sentiment is just that, feeling, nothing more or nothing less.

Sometimes I think that whatever we believe or do not believe, could possible be a part of our d.and a. I know a big portion of what our parents,Grandparents and maybe even Great Grandparents,Aunts and Uncles believe is passed on to us through how we are taught. But what about our intuision, after all we get our eye color, hair color and personalities from our family.Could we not also recieve a lot of our beliefs in this same manner.I know that noone would be able to change my faith in God and my beleaf,All this is so strongly a part of who I am.Why should we expect to change the opinion that others have, whether they believe or disbelieve?I know we are supposed to tell others about God,and we might be able to lead some to God,There might be others who we canot reach. It all depends upon how strongly their belief is.Does it not?

How do you know these men are sound Bible teachers? Jesus and the disciples brought people back to life and performed many miracles yet noticeable do not mention any of these teachers. How many miracles have your teachers performed?
The Rev. Moon’s followers are called Moonies and teach what he taught. You call yourself a follower of Christ yet do not teach what he taught. I find you so called Christians just a bit strange. I often wonder if God is jealous of those followers who follow false gods because they actually follow their teachings.

There is more manuscript evidence for Christ and the resurrection that any other event from that time period. This means you can no longer believe there was Plato, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Julius Ceaser etc. etc. There are over 5000 manuscripts that tell us about Christ but only about 8 for Plato. You can not give a significant example from the Bible the protestants used of a manuscript change. It is called the Textus Receptus.

Having researched this, have been able to find only one from Herod that describes "Christ" all the other is just what is stated in the post about myths, etc. I go past the Reformation, the first and second Council of Nicaea.. and on back to Constantinople and on back.. even further... a mixture of mythology, fantasy and enchantment pulled together 4 hundred years after the execution of Christ. Read this history about the decision to include the resurrection as pat of the bible. Read the Egyptian Book of the Dead written thousands of years before the "bible" and you will find similarities in prose, text and miracles. Especially the virgin birth concept that is also found in ancient Chinese writing. I'm out of here. Winston Churchill said it best.'TRUTH IS INCONTROVERTIBLE, MALICE MAY ATTACK IT, IGNORANCE MY DERIDE IT, BUT IN THE END THERE IT IS." Yes, scientific facts and factual history speak for themselves.

Sloppy researcher. I have already found Christ mentioned by 24 prominent men and historians from around the time of Christ in addition to the over 5000
manuscripts that are in 98.5 % agreement.

No disagreement there, you don't read. I said (DESCRIBE) meaning a physical description. But again, that is not the issue. I rest my case based on the three posted threads I submitted. Stick to the issue when responding. And YOU should have reservations before referring to someones research as sloppy.

All of you posts have been typical atheist drivel.

First there is an attempt to snicker, ridicule and try to intimidate by portraying a believer as ignorant. I have seen it many times. It is always the same.

Then the Bible is called just a collection of myths. Myths that are 100% historically, scientifically and factually accurate. Not bad for a collection of " myths". I have asked repeatedly for even one example of a scientific, historical or contradictory error in this collection of "myths" but have yet to receive one.

You guys had better come up with something new. You are starting to repeat yourselves and you all sound like a bunch of Zeitgeist/Dawkins parakeets.

You are 100% wrong about the 100% accuracy. There are many, even learned scholars will attest to that. Peace and contentment be with you.

Joseph Smith is also held in high reputation by his contemporaries in the Mormon Church. Should we all follow Joe Smith? Just because someone agrees with you?
Perhaps your answer is my mistake and I guess I should have made the question simpler.
As I said those who follow the reverend Moon we call them Moonies. You have made it clear that your sect does not follow the teachings of Christ for in YOUR OWN WORDS the gospels are written ONLY for the JEWS. A follower of Christ’s teachings goes by the title of Christian. You however follow what Paul wrote, also written in your OWN WORDS, so you certainly can not call yourselves Christian’s, because Christians follow the teachings of Christ. That only makes sense! So my question is what title do your people go by? Are you called Paulinians and Are you the prophet of your sect as Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Mormon Church? Do you have a book of Puddleglum that your people must follow?

Either you are a very slow learner or you are deliberately trying to twist my words. Judging by your previous posts it is probably a combination of the two. You will run out of steam soon because you are starting to repeat yourself. Go back and read my explanations until you comprehend them. Read the whole explanation and try not to get stuck on just one paragraph. I know it will be hard but you can do it.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
