Is it necessary for business? Of course. Is it the sole reason anyone is successful in the business world? To even consider that is laughable. True to his philosophy, the president cannot envision a scenario where government is not 100% responsible for the success or failure of everything. He has continually showed an extreme lack of economic knowledge, and a disdain for those who have that knowledge and use it to become successful. If you're looking for someone overcome with hate, look at the president, he hates business owners because they became successful without the government propping them up.

Your friends are just dyed in the wool democrats. I guarantee you. If your friends have an ounce of pride or any brains AT ALL, they are offended. Give me a break. Every time Obama gets off the teleprompter, he makes a complete a** out of himself. He sputters, stutters and generally says one goofy thing after another. I have posted this many times: If a Republican were doing what Obama is doing to this country, you liberals would be killing people in the streets. How can you give him a pass, think you are actually doing what's right for this country AND sleep at night? Astounding.

Romney may not be PERFECT, but he is at least a million times better than the socialist we have in the White House now. At least he wants to help our country instead of run it in the ground.

Whee! Fun with buzzwords. Socialist? You say that like it's a bad thing. We've been moving in a socialist direction for almost 100 years now. I sort of wonder if that's the natural progression of democratic governments... Anybody study up on that in college?
As for running into the ground, we have politicians on both sides of the aisle to thank for that. Obama hasn't done this single-handedly. Nor is the phenomena unique to his presidency.

Yes, as people get lazier and lazier they are going to rely and expect more and more from someone. They will want everything handed to them (spoon fed). Take all of our Grandparents work ethics. Could you imagine any of them expecting disability for being "stressed" or because they have a wrist that aches? No, they worked their butts off to make sure their kids eat everyday. The government didn't give you a free ride, you did your part. Crime was less, workers only expected a paycheck and they worked hard for it, and less people took advantage of the less fortunate. Oh and not to mention someone who was actually handicap could get a spot in the front. Not just the fat/lazy people. Damn it if no one else is working, I don't want to work either. I'm just going to let your parents/ grandparents have work till they are 80 to retire. I mean sometimes I do get "stressed" I'm going to collect a check too. Obama can just print more monopoly money and we will all be happy.

Historically speaking democracies last about 200-250 years before they collapse upon themselves because of the problems liberal progressives heap on them. Taxing the rich to fund social welfare and people feeding off the government teat has brought down every democracy in the history of the world. It happens that way because people like Barack Obama and other progressives refuse to learn from history, thus they are doomed to repeat it. And their ilk will drag the rest of us down with them.

I think the point being here that Obama did not state that folks can't claim credit for building their businesses. You have to acknowledge the infrastructure this great nation provides. I heard Obama speak the words first (channel 124 on XM radio, folks!) so when I read the words I knew what context they were spoken in. Didn't realize until later that it wasn't so clear when reading the transcript. Shame on Mitt though. Although I think he's a flawed candidate, I really thought he had a bit more integrity than that.

The great infrastructure was built and provided by the people, for the people, with tax revenues from the people. Those that "govern" do so with the consent of the governed. Apparently Obama has never learned that in history class. If he released his college records, we would know for sure. Obama said in 2008, he would transform America, now why would he want to transform the beautiful system that allows people to thrive? Along with many other issues, Obama does not have the integrity due the Oval office. If you think Romney lacks integrity because of a limited tax record release; tell it to Nancy Pelosi. Nancy Pelosi Downplays Tax Return Demand: Facing questions about why she and other top Democratic Congressional officials won’t release their tax returns, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) downplayed her previous demands for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release his, calling the issue a distraction.

NOPE...not going to do it...as long as Romney doesn't come clean, this is an issue that will be talked about day after day...all of the way to November 6, 2012, if necessary... Show us your TAX returns Mitt!!! Maybe Romney will make a deal with Obama. Maybe Romney will show his old tax returns when Eric Holder gives Congress the required documents in Fast and Furious. Maybe Romney will show his old tax returns when Obama shows his real birth certificate. Maybe Romney will show his old tax returns when Obama explains why and where he obtained two social security numbers in two different states. Now you tell me who has the most to hide.

It boils down to do you think business needs protection from the People or do the People need protecting from business. I have no objection to a little Capitalism as long as we have a benevolent Government to control what and how they produce as well as prices, wages & profit. The old idea of the first order of business being profit rather than to benefit the masses has got to go.

Whitegirl wrote: Its not going away. Think of how long the birther baloney has gone on without a single document, quote or iota of evidence. In fact all the documentation showed the President was born in Hawaii. All of it. Now, all of the evidence about Romney & Bain proves he either lied or misled the SEC. You just can't have it both ways. Seems to be Karma for the swift boating of Kerry. Karma, baby. Why don't you try to lose weight, stop smoking, see about getting those home made tattoos removed, and stop listening to rap music? We know your daddy didn't care about you and you were raised in a trailer park. Trying to get into the black culture and community isn't working for you either. I would suggest moving away, and starting over. Tell everyone that your half-black children's "baby daddy" was an Italian or a Puerto Rican. Please, please stop trying to speak amongst adults. You simply aren't intelligent or mature enough. Now, hush and do as you are told.
