Unfair wage cuts imposed after contract rotek proposed was voted down. corporate greed is driving the middle class down the tubes. How about cutting salaried people by 20-30%. White collar workers need to take a major may cut. That would save the company millions if dollars. Concerned Citizen

a little education on the situation.. Rotek refused to show the books to the union . And declared they are in no financial difficulty. Then why ask only onion members for large pay cuts. Because of corporate greed ! All new formans just recieved a ten percent increase before negotiation started last november. how convenient to take care of their own people.but they still ask for pay cuts from union members,They claim they need to do this to remain competative in the market.we did not put them in this position . they did this to themselves, about a year ago they fired all 3 Foreman's that knew how to run the company.and hired new formans that had no background in steel mills at all.then 8 months ago they fired our plant manager.all 4 of these individuals had a lot of background and a lot of experience which kept a plant running smoothly.upon more bad decisions made by Roteks upper management now they come to the Union and ask us for pay cuts. maybe the people making a bad decision should take the paycuts ,after all they are the reason we are in the situation .we worked in good faith for approximately 3 months and then the company refuse to talk anymore. we also worked under an implemented contract which already involved the paycuts .we exhausted all avenues,we did not choose to strike we were forced out buy a very greedy corporation looking to benefit from the situation of our economy. god bless the Union in the members, stand strong brothers they will not get away with this. And now you know the rest of the story!

From what I hear Rotek employees get paid fat so if it were me I would rather give up a little just to keep the lion's share rollin' in. But to each their own.

We were shown figures that says our two plants down here have been making enough profit to keep your plants up there in aurora open. I say cut the losses and get rid of dr t and we will be fine dowb here.

Dr. Gudzsend bonus was 200,000 this year. So was Girman. Rotek did 170 million last year. Obviously the hourly should take a 30% pay cut...

Hear this we need to join together as a company in Ohio and in Kentucky and fight against this greedy management. They want to take money from the auroua plant what makes you think they won't take it from us here in Florence KY. We need to join together and fight for what we have and not get walked on like the us government is doing to us now. Concerned but disgruntled employees.

We need to join together and fight for what we have and not get walked on like the us government is doing to us now. Concerned but disgruntled employees. Well said! No one will stand up for us but us. Many of us have had a good job for sometime now, But slowly and surely everything is getting taken away. Some things can be understood in tough times(?) I certainly can't fathom $200,000 bonus as tough times if that may be true. With everything that has happen over the past couple of years I just cant help to think that my good job is becoming just a job. Pride in my work is becoming harder by the day and that's a product of poor management skills from the Very Top-Top. Priorities should be your employees, not how big of bonuses you can achieve by cutting from us. Take care of your people and they will take care of you. Take care of thy neighbor and thy brother. Stay strong up there North brothers. Many of us in the South feel the same way. Call it Ranting and raving, I just don't want to call my GooD Job, a..........job.

What pension plan? We lost that 5 years ago. Insurance? Well that went from free, to 30 a week, to 80. Now they changed it again so the deductible nearly doubled and the copay is almost triple. Buckeyes taste good my friend. Sorry you like that creamy white nut. Believe what they tell you about the pay but I'm sorry to say its the same. They do that to keep y'all from organizing. Regardless, we are in fact the same company with the same problems. Upper management. I was proud of all the salary personal that honked and waved to show their support to everyone on the line this morning. Too bad Gudszend, Girman, and their henchmen are all soulless f**ktards that couldn't manage to lead a thirsty horse to water.
