A young girl was assaulted by a boy at the roosevelt school last year, and no one did anything. The idea of nothing happening to this child and making sure he gets help is disturbing. The people who could do something are not, at what cost, to make sure our school system does not lose it high standard ratings for saftey? The mother of the girl did her best at trying to get something done, never wanting the child charged just recieve help. I can say I talked to her, as the tears ran down her face she was concerned, not only for the boy that hurt her daughter but for the other children who still have to go to school with him. Even after another person came forward and reported this child being seen doing other things nothing still has been done, due to insufficent evidence this child will not be charged tell he does it again. At what cost, to see another child go through what this little girl has...if the police are trying hard and doing there duty..but are limited due to physical evidence...and Department of human services can't get involved due to laws that say a teacher is not classified as a caregiver in the State of Iowa...then where does this leave this story..to wait until something more happens...Just one more question....Why? If you as a parent, or grandparent, or friend wonder...could this story really be real? Ask..but if you ask the school and they say the police said 100 percent sure this didn't happen, hmmm I think you better ask elsewhere because that statement has never been said.......
