augusta pool

i seen they were putting water in it. i hope it opens soon.
only thing kids have to do around here.

I heard who they hired for Pool manager ! What a joke. She does not have a clue how to do the job. No education,no experience. I bet she swims like a rock and she will be managing the pool! Must be another of Mayor laycocks relatives ! LOL! Maybe his sista ! she works full time in the school cafateria everyday but thats ok. She doesn't have to be in the park when the pool is open and running, she will be at her cafateria job instead . Kinda like our Postmaster running the Pub at the same time as the post office !Only in Augusta could you get a job when you have another in direct conflict with when you are supposed to be at work ! Maybe she can let her boyfriend sell drugs out of the snack bar to help him branch out of Sycamore alley !

Pool manger? who ever it may be. is that the one you see to buy pool passes? i just wonder how much they are going to be this year. i am not sure if i am going to buy them or not. i bought them for my kids last year. i bet they did not go no more then 10 times last year. also about the PUB. what is going on their. i was their a few times when a lady ran it. i think her name was Theresa. she was a nice lady. so she is not their anymore. i sure am behind time.

Does this person live with a druggie? Is the man in question a concern for the welfare of the children at the pool? If City Council and Mayor accepts that a known criminal is welcome at the pool with or without the manager of the pool......Children will be in danger and the City will be sued if something happens to a child.
Don't know the people in conversation....but PEOPLE will be watching this situation and law enforcement will be close. The city can be held accountable for the activity presented at the pool.(Just a freindly reminder).

Elizabeth Gibbs Lang was hired as pool manager! 0 experience as a manager. 0 experience as a lifeguard. 0 experience in first aid. Drive by her home in Sycamore alley and see how she maintains it ! It is falling down from neglect ! Her only experience is she is a cook at AHS. Nothing against cooks ,we all like good ones but do you want your drowning child in her hands????? Does that bunch at city hall do any background check on a person.. Evidently not !

This is terrible character assassination! I have known Elizabeth since she started kindergarten. She is a fine lady and very hardworking. She has raised her children by herself. The only thing about her is she will work 24/7 if that is what it takes to raise her family and pay her bills. She has had up to 3 jobs at a time. How many criticizing her would do that? Her boyfriend, I don't know well, but if he was doing what you accuse him of she would not have him around. She is the manager not a lifeguard and she is honest so there should be no problem with her regarding the business part. Don't know the lady personally but at least she is not one of the family and also is not on welfare like a lot of people on this site. Never heard anything bad about her so don't get on her a trash her just to be a smart ass. She does work and not sit on her ass like a lot of people and draw a check

i am glad i got away from that town. what the heck is wrong with the people that runs Augusta? why dont the school kids get the summer jobs. it sure would help the kids out a lot. but wait i forgot. the so called leaders of Augusta do not have nothing for kids to do anyways.

Wouldn't that be something, a background check on workers, employees of Augusta, damn that would clean up a hell of a mess if that was to happen.

i was just told the Augusta pool is going to have a family plan . it is not going to be that much either. i hope the price is low i cant afford to much. i work all the time but it is very hard to make it sometimes.

I think i will call a CITY WORKER Monday. maybe they can tell me.

They, the (Augusta clan) actually call it the holy hole of water, it seems the hole of water just appeared one day out of the blue, and they with other tribes came from afar to see the great wonder.
Why the city gets 1 day per week to their self is because it gives them their power to think, act. make great decisions etc...plus they get 30 % off any goods needed.
A few has come back telling of a great story of the water being wet, I mean like, wow!!! If only i could test the waters, but
I can only wish..........

I hate when people do their business in the pool, I mean besides having their meetings in there.

As a taxpayer I am tired of people getting jobs in this town based on who they are friends with or related to at city hall. This woman has no qualifications to do the job.You can take up for her all you wan't because she is your friend but truth be known you were the one who recomended her for the job.

Thanks to everyone who is standing behind me and backing me up! For those of you who don't know me, I have managed places before and you didn't read over my application so don't judge! I am not kin to anyone on the City councel, and for the person who said I was their sista that sounds like a racial remark to me which I don't appreciate! I read about the job opening in the news paper, and yes I can read plus they want an adult there to manage it! It doesn't matter how many jobs I have at least I'm not sitting on my ass doing nothing and relying on the government to pay my way! My house is paid for, and it has been for the last couple of years! My vehicle gets me from point A to point B and it is paid for! Yes I do have training in CPR and first aid! Thats the reason you have assistant managers...you have no clue what my hours are going to be! Whose to say that I am going to be there another year...hopefully I am, and hopefully the kids do come and have a great time! I thank the city for giving me the opportunity to manage the pool this year, and the school for still having me! I'm not stupid and I don't have a known drug dealer around me and my kids! In closing, whoever has been talking about me are you jealous you don't have a job? If you do, I'm proud that you have one! If you have anymore questions or concerns, please come see me because you obviously know where I live and the life I live! I have always wanted to make Augusta Topix! For explaining everything to the ignorant. I am assuming the pool will open for Memorial Day weekend? Have a wonderful summer working the pool and taking care of everyone and everything that is involved.

for that vocabulary lesson. Elizabeth, are you Carolyn's daughter? We miss her so much! She was the finest woman, mother and grandmother I was honored to get to know while she worked many many years at the Beehive. She was such a wonderful cook and hard worker and so kind picking up children for church that didn't have a way to get there. Glod bless and hope to get to know you this summer while at the pool.
