so sad when god takes the best humanity has to offer. Those scouts are tough kids.

Kudos to the scouts! They were able to apply their training, even after living thru the shock of the storm. Most of us would have wandered around stupidly until somebody told us to sit.

Climb back under your rock, loser. Making a joke about families that have lost their sons, pathetic.

I guess you still harbor ill feelings about not being able to cut it as a scout.

Go back to playing 'dungeon and dragons' and watching your cartoons in your parents basement.

Our hearts and prayers are with the loved ones who have lost family members in this last batch of storms. Two killed in Kansas and Four in Iowa. The lose of children is beyound painful. Again, we pray for comfort.

These boys and young men should be commended for their courage and quick thinking. My heart goes out to them and those that lost family members. My prayers are for you all.

Kansans cleaned up after Greensburg was destroyed and we will clean up and restore Chapman. We don't sit around and blame the goverment for tragedies. Also, Gov. Kathy was wrong about what our National Guard can and will do.

Gov. Kathy used the National Guard to take a jab at Pres. Bush. She has become your garden variety politician in the last couple years. She looks out for her own interests first and the lives of Kansans are a distant second.

To their families, friends and loved ones I offer this to you...

In this time of sorrow, look into your heart and know, they are not gone, they are just away,
but still a part of your heart.

They are joining the great meeting of the Troop Eternal.

Thanks you. We need more posts like this instead of Bush-haters trolling every topix subject to inject their invective.

My prayers are going out for all the residents of Iowa. On the west side, they've lost lives due to tornadoes and on the east side it's flooding. Nearly everyone in the state is going to be impacted in one way or another by this round of weather.

My wish for those affected are for strength and help.

Ditto that thank you. I'm no fan of his but to attempt to place blame on him for every single thing is not only ludicrous, it's boring.

In watching the tv series about rebuilding the town "green"..... is anyone looking at monolithic domes??
Tornadoes practically bounce off of them. Fires will gut them, but not destroy them, the R value is excellent.... anyone from Greensburg?

www.monolithic.com

(no... I have nothing to profit from mentioning them, just a fan.)

I'm no fan of Bush either, but I tire of these trolls who follow all of the forums to post their anti-Bush remarks. One poster blamed bus for Obama's win over Clinton.

Now that's really out there. Placing blame is non-productive. We all need to focus on how we, as a united country, can turn this thing around and get back on solid ground.

I think the National Guard should be here helping our people in need...any delay because of equipment being in Irag is unacceptible....The Federal government (Fema) should of had people on the way the night of the storm instead of waiting for the Governor to ask for help....Just goes to show you that the Government is run by idiots.....Hope we don't have any hurricanes...we will be screwed.....I hope this small town gets back on there feet real soon....I am from a small town up north...I am sure everybody will pull together to get things to somewhat back in order...It will take a long time....good luck...
The Federal government (Fema) should of had people on the way the night of the storm instead of waiting for the Governor to ask for help....
The Constitution forbids this....it is LOCAL, STATE, then FEDERAL.....which is the reason that N.O. suffered such loss during Katrina.

The mayor refused to ask the feds for help, or do much of anything else, until much too late.

Of course liberal idiots will just blame Bush for following the law, and yell that he should have acted faster......again.
