A 911 call from an alert neighbor resulted in the arrest of Lodi man for running a drug operation out of his Columbia County home.

Sheriff Dennis Richards said the Columbia County dispatch center received a 911 call on Oct. 18 from a citizen in the village of Harmony Grove to report what they believed was a burglary in progress at a home on River Drive.

When deputies located the two suspects, officers received conflicting statements from the two men. When questioning the homeowner, a 36-year-old Lodi man, he told officers that the alleged suspects were allowed to be on the property.

While talking to the homeowner, deputies detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the residence. A search warrant revealed multiple baggies of marijuana pre-packaged for sale, loose marijuana and plant parts, two scales, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and documents. More than two pounds of marijuana was confiscated during the search, Richards said.

The homeowner was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana as a repeater, maintaining a drug house, possession of cocaine, possession within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Assisting sheriff’s deputies on the scene was the Columbia County District Attorney and a warden with the Department of Natural Resources.

One on one a gang member is nothing. They fight like pussies. Thats why they are in a gang. If I encounter more than one, I pull out the gun. And mine is legal.
