I would be happy to discuss our 'natural','organic' method to restore lakes, ponds and rivers to a pristine state naturally.
We install our systems in a body of water to address the waters' actual physiology, changing it from one which supports plant life over animal life (Eutrophic) to one that supports animal life over plant life (Oligitrophic).
The reason why 'invasive' vegetation is predominant and is flourishing in bodies of water like Glenmere Lake is because of a lack of one particular constituent which is necessary to support the animal life over plant life scenario. This constituent is Dissolved Oxygen being present in abundance at the benthic region of the Lake. This Dissolved Oxygen being present through our proprietary process called the Multiple Inversion, Continuous Laminar Flow process is achieved without creating turbidity and works to provide this physical condition elegantly and with success in projects all over the world I might add, for over the past 36 years.
I am working with a Lake Association in Westtown, NY with A Mr. Frank Lapenna in providing this technology for their private 16 acre lake as we speak.
I would welcome any inquiries and I am located in Westchester, NY. I can direct you to two websites which give greater detail about us. Google Clean-flo on their (Video) page and you will find two videos on us a ten minute video and a 6 minute video...
www.aquaticrestorationllc.com & www.clean-flo.com are the two websites which give info. on what we do and where we have worked (Globally).
I personally installed a fully engineered, Clean-Flo system in Middletown, NY's reservoir about ten years ago. The system worked well and met all expectations for the project in removing Manganese from the water as well as providing great tasting water. The reservoirs' engineer had changed and the maintenance of our system was not upkept and is now offline.(The new system operator in a phone conversation about a year ago told me that "The system just doesn’t work")It won't work if you don't maintain the simple requirements needed for general upkeep... We do have a letter from the former reservoirs' engineer to attest to our good success in this project however and would be happy to provide that to anyone interested.
Again, I would be happy to discuss this in greater detail and would be happy to provide the Glenmere Lake citizens with a real goal orientated restoration project that is very easy to understand and achieve.
Weed Harvesting, Chemical additives (toxins) are mitigational at best and actually provide for internal loading factors which greatly increase the Eutrophication of the water body for the present and the future of the body of water.
We use Ceramic Diffusers, to provide Dissolved Oxygen, Non-pathogenic bacteria and food grade enzymes to accomplish our restoration. It is a remedy not a mitigational process.
