Deb got the axe at longs creek. Hadn't heard about Brian. Ain't gossip GREAT!!!!

Brian and his wife quit, they didnt get fired. Marilyn got axed,,, and she deserved it. So did Deb.

AGREED!!! And why the heck can't people read over what they wrote before clicking on the Post Comment? If they can't read or understand it, chances are, noone else can.

Why did the Smiths leave? I had heard about Marilyn Swanson, but not the reasoning. What's the deal with Deb?

Deb Who? Now, why did Swanson get fired... or did she really quit? i know she been there ever since Longs Creek opened in 2000.

Brian and Karens positions were eliminated and combined into one job. They had the option of applying for the combined job, but decided not to since it would be damned impossible for one person to do.

Karen had the option to work 3 split shifts a day on the floor. She declined because who the hell wants to come into Good Sam 3 different times a day?

They had assumed that Brian would take the combined job. When he didn't, and told them he would be leaving when they dictated their last day to be, administration started to sweat some bullets. They had ASSumed that Brian and Karen would take whatever bullshit positions that they wanted them to.

I think it's pretty sad that they just get rid of employees who have remained loyal to the company their entire working lives. Karen was an employee at GS for 30 years.

Anyway, they just decided it would be in their best interest to just take their retirement, severance and find jobs elsewhere. After much harassment from administration I don't blame them.

Wow. What's up with these places? Who is Deb?

What is Good Sam's? Is that the assisted Living place, where they are looking for a boss to take over! My daughter applied at Good Sam's just wondering if same thing.

Do you all seriously have this much time on your hands? I'm sure none of you probably really know the true reasons behind any management move, as any truly good manager will not share reasons. You all are really brave to get on here and anonymously and publicly criticize someone and/or an organization. Get a life!

Not Deb Cushman, Deb Koerner lost her nursing liscense for 30 DAYS.

I hope Brian and Karen find work somewhere else. They are nice people.

Most people that know Jeff Harvey on a professional and personal basis, will say that he is a very kind, caring, easy-going individual. As a manager, he has tough decisions to make and they don't always make everybody happy. His job is to ensure that the residents at Good Sam. receive the best quality care possible while making sound financial decisions to keep the doors open. The majority of the community never know the real reasons why employees are dismissed from their jobs. Speculation and rumors only cause more harm to everybody involved. Good Sam. provides a wonderful service to the community, residents, and their families.

Maybe BS wanted them to give him thier beer?
