According to the local paper, it happened early Tuesday (11/10/09) morning, just after midnight. Someone broke out the glass on the front door and stole at least two handguns. Over $1100 worth, plus cost of repairs, according to the paper.

I'm very excited to know there's some drug-addled loony running around Auburn with stolen guns. He went in right through the front door on a busy highway. I would be interested to know what the local police were doing at that moment. I'm not saying they could have prevented this from happening, but if I knew they were all busy pulling over out-of-towners, I would be pissed.

Thank you. I was just going by what the paper said. Good to know they were recovered. Any idea as to whether the criminals were recovered too?

The authorities went to a suspect’s house, he wouldn’t let them in, they got a search warrant and found the guns. Yes the perps are in custody, good job law enforcement. Thank you!

If you all knew the whole story of what actually happened you would know that they dont have the guns!!!! They have him.

CSD the officer was up at the station, not pulling over out of towners. He is a good cop who doesnt pull out of town people over for no reason. So lay off the Police comments.

I can say what I please. There are layer upon layer of law enforcement around here. My point is I am extremely surprised that in a neighborhood full of residential buildings, on a busy highway, at that hour, it's very odd no one heard or saw a thing.

One person saw it happen and reported him 1st. 3 others called it in. So like I said before learn the whole story. I know what happened and know all the answers to these questions posted on here but, I was told not to say anything by the detectives and the NSP.

What's with all the cloak and dagger crap? Why in the world would detectives tell anyone not to discuss the case??? Why would the newspaper cover up the number of guns taken? If the State Patrol told you not to discuss the case, why are you on a public message board discussing the case?

To tell people like you to shut the heck up if you dont know the whole story. They are covering it up because they dont want people to know the truth.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Scorpio

If you've been surrounded by people during the past few days you welcome the chance to have some time to yourself today. It's a wonderful excuse to do something really indulgent in private, such as scoff a whole box of chocolates while watching a favourite film on TV. But make sure you destroy all the evidence before everyone else comes home!
