Bye Lou Dobbs, hello Sanchez?

Anyone catch Lou Dobbs show last night? He's leaving CNN. Seems the loud voices who want amnesty and our borders to be wide open to everyone on earth, won out. I sure didn't agree with all his viewpoints, but I definitely do on illegal immigration. There's one more obstacle to stopping this incredible invasion our nation is experiencing, out of the way.

Should we place bets on who Lou's time slot will go to? Perhaps Rick Sanchez?

Why don't we just save time and misery, and start calling ourselves the sister republic of Mexico.

What's happening is terrible & if you speak out about enforcing ALL our laws, you're a racist. There's no military coup needed - our govt is just handing over the USA in the name of political correctness, votes, and appeasement.

Now CNN can get another pro-amnesty anchor, who'll continue the efforts to make us all believe we have no right whatsoever to monitor our borders, determine who is in our country, or put restrictions on how many can flood here.

Oil wars? Think water in the future; natural resources. The USA is way past it's natural resources carrying capacity now.

Just keep working and paying those taxes, folks. That's all that's required of you.

Maybe Lou Dobbs can co-host with Glenn Beck and they can huddle together in a corner while the evil forces of darkness creep in like a mist from Mexico and pick all their lettuce. Don't you realize that the immigration problem is no worse now than it's ever been? As I have said before, the smartest thing we could do would be to annex Mexico, bring them into our tax base and economic structure. Then there would be no reason for them to venture north other than a nice vacation. Think of the revenues generated at Yosemite!

We disagree on this one, CSD. Perhaps what you say is what is more likely to happen, but that doesn't make it right, or good for our country.

Why does no one ever consider the impact on our natural resources? What about the vanishing Ogallala Aquifer beneath our feet? Do you have any care for the few remaining wilderness places left in our country? They'll be negatively impacted and eventually, transitioned to accommodate the burgeoning population. What about the fact that we're a nation of laws - that's supposed to be or all, not just you and me working-class joes. Which laws on the books now, do you, as a working, tax-paying american, not have to adhere to?

Bombay, India has the highest birth rate on the planet. Houston TX comes in second, with an astounding 98% of those births from illegal mothers. The percentage of illegals in the southest, North Carolina for example, has increased 450% since 2000. If these numbers don't alarm Americans to what's going on in our country, I don't know what will.

Trades that your dad, brother, uncle - maybe you - made a living at - try getting one of those now, whether it's construction, road work, masonry, carpentry, landscaping, on and on and on. What's left for average americans? McD's, phone call marketing, selling sneakers. Keeping the lose-weight camps and TV loser shows in business?

Why is it that some people automatically assume that if you are against illegal immigration, you must be racist? This is untrue and unfair - immigrants here illegally hate illegal immigration as much as the rest of us.

Just keep busting and paying those taxes, America. That's all that's required of you.

9/12/01 was THE day to close our borders down, re-evaluate quotas country by country, and put the american people back to work defending our borders, ports, and public areas. On that day alone, this could have been done w/o all the hyped up pseudo-liberalism p.c. correctness that will happen any other time it's tried. Instead W threw his arms wide open and we have no clue as to who is in our country. Amazing that the republicans continue to claim the mantle of 'strong on national security'.(or "fiscal responsibility" - what jokes they are!). Amazing that the liberal left cannot think of anything more than voting blocks. No one seems to give a damn about what is best for America anymore.

We will never be able to solve this or any other problem in this country until we are able to elect candidates who understand the nature of elected office and the fact that they are there to serve a constituency and not themselves. Yes, we bill ourselves as a nation of laws, but where does it stop? When do we have enough laws? Maybe we should just declare a moratorium on everything. 6 months off from passing laws or allowing anyone to immigrate or sending more jobs overseas. We could catch our breath and evaluate just where we stand at that moment. THEN we could annex Mexico.

I've said this many times before, but it needs to be mentioned again! We need to have sniper towers lined along the border for our military snipers. If a wetback makes it across the border, good for him, but it would be great training for our military! Of course the government would have to pay for the ammunition fees, so our taxes might go up! But you know, I think that's the sacrifice we are willing to take.

You know what, though, CSD? The poem says nothing but the truth. THAT's the sad part.

The truth according to whom? My guess would be that whomever penned this little trifle has hardly ever been out of Nemaha County.

I've been out of Nemaha county and it's basically true those places too. East coast & west coast, and the mid-section of the country isn't isolated from it.

There's not one thing wrong with legal immigration. It's how we all ended up here & what gives our country such flavor and interesting culture. The big difference is our ancestors went through a process at Ellis Island, and were legal. I don't care for someone busting in the back door of my house to gain illegal entry, and I don't see it any different when it's our nation. Mexico is one of the wealthiest countries regarding natural resources. But they're also one of the most corrupt. It seems it would be better for their country if they all refocused their efforts on cleaning up their govt, which would elevate their standards of living.

I don't want to sound callous - they have a cruel, corrput law enforcement system down there and it would be bloody and difficult. But it's their country and the USA cannot remain a super power unless a working solution is found to this (and many other) big problems. It impacts all aspects of life here and we can see that in the news everyday.

I just don't think we can rescue the whole world. And especially if we can't retain our own autonomy economically.

CSD: "Truth to Whom"? Truth is truth. If people are here illegally, they came illegally. There is no other 'truth'.

And if you travel down there, and stay without the govt knowning you're there, you'll most definitely know what 'illegal alien' means.

The implication is that they are all living on welfare and getting handouts from the government, etc. which is blatantly untrue. It's just one more spoke in the "lazy Mexican" wheel. Many of those people perform jobs that Americans think are beneath their dignity. You try picking lettuce all day for weeks on end. Let's see how well you fare.
