A while back (weeks or months, I'm not sure) some friends of mine ate at a restaurant in Auburn. They really liked it and we're making plans to go there this weekend. However, they do not remember the name or exact location of the place.
Is there anyone who could tell what place this might be? List your favorite place to eat in Auburn, please. Thank you. |

Choices are limited in Auburn
Federal Grove Nans Cindys Pool Room Minit Mart has Odeli's and Godfathers Subway and I think thats about it for the restaurants in the town of Auburn! |

Thank you!! I'm sure that will help. I'll run these names by them and see if any ring a bell.

It had to be Federal Grove. The rest are just coffee shop type dives or fast food not worth coming back for.

Speak for yourself!!Have you ate at any of the other restaurants?Federal Grove is over rated and way to high.

I have eaten at all of the other restaurants. I was not praising FG. Just that the others are just coffee shops and fast food. Good for local food but nothing to take a return trip for.

I have eaten at McCue's Kountry Kooking located in Auburn Kentucky, just off the beaten path, they have old fashioned southern cooking, the homemade icecream was very good, they also had a variety of homemade canned goods that they served us, the lady was making blueberry preserves while we was there, and she brought some out to the customers with fresh bread, made me think I was back at grand ma's table and it was at no extra cost, suprised me.I enjoyed the company, everyone joked and cut up like a big family. It was worth the drive.

Turns out it was McCue's Kountry Kooking. Sure wasn't much to look at driving up to it, but they did have a nice selection. Prices weren't bad, service was really good.
Most of the food was great, however the first serving we received of hush puppies were very hard and dry. Some folks got catfish, a couple got frog legs, a couple got crawfish. Other than the hush puppies (they brought more out that were really good), it was enjoyable. The staff was pretty fun to interact with, as the group that I went with are all pretty much characters. |
