Real protesters would have chained themselves together and forced RBPD to arrest them on unlawful assembly.

Standing on a street corner in front of a donut shop holding poorly written signs makes great comedy for passing motorists.

Don't forget to sign up to march in the Xmas Parade on Nov 28th, I'd love to see a bunch of marijuana plants covered with xmas lights.

Roll another one....

REPEAL THE POT LAWS. No one should be able to grow marijuana in a residential neighborhood. Let the farmers have the rights to grow it. We don't want it in our neighborhoods. We don't want to strip the "patients" of their rights, but come on if you can't produce other "medicines" at home such as prozac ,zoloft, painkillers, cancer treatments for a reason. Those same reasons should apply to marijuana. All of these "patients" attest to the powerful medicinal qualities of it. You can't buy whiskey and beer from your neighboors can you?. I understand the recent explosion of dispensaries is because Obama has assured us all that the govt will not interfere with the individual States policies regarding the laws which have been in existence for over a decade. This is how Obama got elected, this is what the "proletariat people "wanted.

I started to feel bad for the donut business since they always have protesters blocking their entrance. But then I realized they probably got a lot of business from these folks.......

But seriously, the medical marijuana thing is turning into a joke. Every stoner around will get a prescription and its use will be as abusive as other pain medicines.

rhondar, we are talking about a herb here, not a "chemical wonder" that requires a factory to produce! I can grow St. John's Wort, comfrey, mint or any other medicinal herb in my garden- why single out cannabis?

My son produces his home brewed beer and wine for his own pleasure, why can't I, as a legitimate medical cannabis patient, choose to produce my own medicine for my healing?(At a far cheaper cost than the pills the doctor prescribes, with fewer side effects, incidentally!)I KNOW what went into my cannabis- do you know what's in your pills?

Does it ever worry you when you hear those pill commercials where they rapidly mention "rare, but serious", "potentially fatal" side effects? Cannabis has no serious side effects. Feeling "good", the "munchies", dry mouth and possible drowsiness don't even fall anywhere near those "potentially fatal" pharmaceutical side effects! Cannabis has never caused a fatal overdose- unlike aspirin!

Why not educate yourself about cannabis? You obviously know very little about this healing herb! In fact, here is a challenge for you! Run a search on "Granny Storm Crow's list- July 2009" and read just the titles of the studies and articles- I won't even ask you to read the actual pieces- just the titles can be a revelation and an education. Are you going to be brave enough to fact the scientific facts? Is your mind open to the truth? Don't be afraid to educate yourself! Read the list!

Just got off the phone with a good buddy of mine who is in deep with local politics. Doesn't look good for our side he says, the anti's have very deep pockets and plenty of friends in high places.

I'm cutting my losses and bailing, heading for warmer climates where my rights are not trampled upon and I'll be free to choose my meds without being hassled.

That's a crock of Poop !

CaNORML Opposes Red Bluff Cultivation Ban

Red Bluff California, Nov. 10 - Medical MJ supporters met to oppose Red Bluff's proposed ban on MMJ cultivation, collectives and dispensaries.

Speaking to a packed house of over 150, California NORML attorney James Silva explained via telephone/microphone how the ordinance violates state law and Prop. 215.

The proposed Red Bluff ordinance would effectively deprive patients of their Prop 215 right to grow medical marijuana, both individually and collectively. It would go so far as to prohibit caregivers from growing for their own family members.

California NORML is supporting opposition to the Red Bluff ordinance.

Attorney Bill Panzer has contacted the Red Bluff city attorney to explain why the proposed draft is in violation of state law.

If the city goes ahead and adopts it, advocates will seek to have it invalidated through the courts.

A defense fund is being raised to support the Red Bluff challenge. Prospective donors should RSVP or contact High Sierra NORML: 6148 Clark Rd #4, Paradise California 95969: mailto:high_sierra_norml@yahoo .com

We vote, pay taxes and medicate with cannibis. Struck by drunk driver the in man in the wheel chair,friends of cannibis and others seriously ill are asking for compassion. God gave us herb to use freely. We will never walk man with god until we practice the almightys law. Stop and check your self. Tomorrow if you were be stricken ill and after many failed treatments bordering on chemical addiction. Your dr or friend suggests cannibis to save vital organs and your life. Now imagine safe access, a end to war and people paying acts of kindness forward. We are on the corner for all humans as an act of kindness promoting safe access...Hoping to end black market and unlawful arrests of red bluff 215 patients.
At a medical seminar I recently attend as a professional they discussed canabinoids as receptor common in every human brain and facts that show it is common to human breastmilk.

it is sad that people are ignorant to the medicinal values of marijuana. i personally have helped people with terminal cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain and migraine headaches, myself included with no side effects. it is legal, we voted for it in the state of california. educated, non-educated, people with money, people without money can benefit that's why we passed it. going against the laws we have passed, usually puts people in jail or they find lawsuits against them. blatant opposition, and suppression of the compassionate act in california is against the law. thank you to the ones who are standing up in the public eye and enforcing our rights. i know that change and ignorance causes fear, and fear causes anger. angry people don't realize they are hurting people until after they have hurt them.

This isn't a vote that the entire county needed to be there for. this was a meeting for 'MEDICAL MARIJUANA' patients to voice opinions and ideas to combat a illegal action that might get implemented in Red Bluff. When you impartially look at it, 150 people is about 20% to 30% of your registered medical users in the county. That's not too bad of a turn out actually. Especially for a meeting that wasn't advertised for a long period and is geared for people who have doctor recognized illnesses and injuries also known as....disabilities.

English studies on Orgaono-phosphate insecticide exposure. If you drive I-5, you and your family get exposed

No obvious symptoms at all
A Government sponsored study at the Institute of Occupational Medicine of farmers who regularly handled OPs but who were complaining of no symptoms showed that they suffered from mild brain damage. Their ability to think clearly and problem solve was impaired.
Sheep dip 'flu (mild acute poisoning)
This is a 'flu-like illness which follows exposure to OPs. Sometimes the farmer just has a bit of a headache, feels unusually tired or finds he can't think clearly. This may just last a few hours to a few days and the sufferer recovers completely. Most sufferers do not realise that they have been poisoned and put any symptoms down to a hard day's work. It can occur after dipping, but some farmers will get symptoms after the slightest exposure, such as visiting markets and inhaling OP fumes from fleeces.
Acute Organophosphate poisoning
This is the syndrome recognised by doctors and Poisons Units. Symptoms occur within 24 hours of exposure and include collapse, breathing problems, sweating, diarrhoea, vomiting, excessive salivation, heart dysrrhythmias, extreme anxiety etc. Treatment is with atropine. You have to have a large dose of OP to have this effect (eg. drink some of the dip!) and so this syndrome is rarely seen.
Intermediate Syndrome
This occurs 1-3 weeks after exposure and is characterised by weakness of shoulder, neck and upper leg muscles. It is usually undiagnosed because it goes unrecognised.
Long term chronic effects
These symptoms develop in some susceptible individuals. They can either occur following a single massive exposure, or after several years of regular sub-lethal exposure to OPs. These symptoms are:
1. Symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome:
* Severe, debilitating fatigue which is physical and mental.
-- physical - no stamina, loss of muscular strength (episodic blurred vision), sudden "hitting a wall", has to rest regularly and pace all activity;
-- mental - poor short term memory, unable to learn new things, poor concentration, speech difficulty with poor word finding. Long term memory usually fine.
* Malaise - sufferers feel ill, "hung over", "poisoned". Muscle aching - often widespread, flitting from one group of muscles or joints to another, often requiring painkillers; degeneration of handwriting.
* Drug intolerance (such as alcohol, antidepressants);
* Sleep disturbance.
2. Multiple chemical sensitivity. Sufferers:
a) become more sensitive to OPs, which means that they get bigger reactions with smaller doses;
b) become sensitive to other chemicals. This is called a "spreading phenomenon" and classically these people start to react to many other chemicals such as diesel fumes, perfumes, cigarette smoke, alcohol and so on;
c) Develop an exquisite sense of smell - they can smell chemicals long before anybody else - they are true "canaries".

3. Personality change
* destabilisation of mood (mood swings);
* increased tearfulness, irritability and aggression;
* impulsive suicidal thoughts;
* rage.
An extreme version of these symptoms results in psychiatric disorders including depression and psychosis.
Physical symptoms which may arise as a combined effect of the above problems include:
* Chest pain,
* Shortness of breath;
* Muscle twitching or cramp;
* Irritable bowel syndrome (abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea/constipation etc.);
* Sweating;
* Poor balance and dizzy spells;
* Numb patches, clumsiness;
* Tendency to pick up infections;
* Many other symptoms
OPs also accelerate the normal ageing process so that diseases which one might expect in patients in their eighties one sees in patients in their fifties and sixties. These diseases include:
* Degenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, heart disease and dementia;
* Genetic and DNA damage causing birth defects and cancer;
* Immune disruption - this can cause allergies (to foods, inhalants and chemicals), tendency to acquire infections and difficulty getting rid of infections, autoimmunity.
