It always seems once the beer starts flowing no care about the children. There are alot more rapes like this in Keeseville but they get covered up by the adults. A 14 year old girl in our family was raped in keeseville at her home during a drinking party her parents didnt want her to testify to the rape in her own home so no rape charges were filed no rape kit was done and she got no counseling. Today her is 20 on drugs and always at the bar on front street she will never be right.

It seems to me Ausable and Keesville as well as parts of Jay are LOADED with parents who think it's ok to hold underage drinking parties. What is law enforcement doing about THAT issue???

What do you expect from this town, The mayor is a coke addict and a pot head, who hates the police and wants them out of keeseville.

The town is full of drunks and drug addicts.

The bar on front street the patriot spoke about? standing next to that girl is Earl Mudd, slinging drugs...

Bruces shelves are empty because half is stock is stolen, and no one wants to drive past the scumbags lining front street to get to the grocery store

Follow the trend, you want a better life, move out of keeseville, there is a reason its called Sleezeville by the surrounding towns

I spoke with business owners in Keeseville that just opened up some months ago. They said the mayor recommended Front Street and they flat refused that location due to violence and drugs.

The police seem only concerned with traffic tickets cash for both towns. Yet do not monitor front street were the largest problem is.

The way I understand it since the Keeseville court closed, both Chesterfield and Ausable town courts handle all court cases in Keeseville.

The gentleman that ran for Justice for the Town of Chesterfield in the pass election wanted to end the drug sales on front street unfortunately he lost by about 100 votes. Yet he cared enough about our young people in our community to monitor Front Street daily and he knew who was doing what and wanted to clean it up.

Keeseville needs a Manager that is educated (college degree) and committed to community before self. Supervisors are not managers; there is a large difference. I believe if Keeseville had a creative Manager, Keeseville would be returning back to its glory days we hear so much about from our older community members.

1st off, familiarity breeds contempt.

I learned it in the Military.

The drug dealers and drunks are all pretty damm chummy with the mayor, they drink and get high together, so dont count on her to change anything downtown.

2nd, the court is closed. The genius Mayor closed it. It was after her other great ideas, like getting rid of the state police and chopping down all the trees on Front st.

I thought I would of read about it in the misspelled and poorly edited newsletter, or on the website she promised us...

The court was a source of income for the town, but when the Mayor hates cops (her words) I guess courts are not far behind.

Great msg we sent to the scum and criminals of the region. I think it goes like this...

"give us your poor, your drunk, and high huddled masses, your rapists and molesters... your drunk drivers, you are all welcome here!!"

I am glad the existing mayor was able to get enough drunks off their barstools and down to the polls to get her elected, but now its time to grow a brain, use it and clean up this cesspool of a town.

All I read on here is about how Keeseville is so horrible. That may be the case, but from what I've read most of you live here too. You talk about getting someone who cares enough to clean up the place, well step up. Quit running your mouths and do something about it. You aren't accomplishing anything with the hate that you express. For the people that don't live here, it isn't your problem any more, you moved out of town now move on with your life. For the rest of you, if you hate it so much, do us a favor and leave. We obviously have bigger issues to deal with rather than listen to you whine.

I've lived in Keeseville for 30 years now and downtown is the same as it was back then. Kids and drug dealers on the street. Its something that will never change. If the police don't want to do anything about it, we're out of luck. We can't take the law into our own hands. Its up to the parents to get their kids off the street. One more thing, I'm not afraid to go downtown and walk around, there's not that much crime.

I agree, these people complaining are still living in Keeseville. If it is such a horrible town, then why are you all still here? I've never had a problem walking downtown. I was raised to know the difference between right and wrong, so I stay away from the dealers and problems down there. Instead of saying all the negative in Keesevile, why can't the people complaining step up and help make a change. We should be thinking of the future of our kids by actually helping be the change, instead of complaining if nothing gets done. I'm just so sick of the few people complaining about issues that are out of our hands. Drugs are everywhere and the law enforcement must step up, crime is also everywhere, as well as loitering and it will never end. To help solve these problems, some parents need to start being active role models in their kid's lives and teaching them from the beginning.

Not sure where you got your info on the mayor. She's is probably the furthest thing from a "coke and drug addict". As far as the scumbags maybe you should look a little closer or have you even driven through Keeseville. Maybe the shelves are empty because economy is bad right now. He is doing the best he can to provide our community with a grocery store.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Capricorn

Take things slowly and all will be well. However, you must resist a tendency to be perfectionist over things that don't really matter, otherwise you'll never finish the chores. If you're busy with Christmas preparations, you'll have to control a nagging feeling that you've got to compete with the way other people have done things in the past.
