Our village taxes did not go up this year, I thought that was a good thing. And the water meters are finally going to start being read. People with large families and swimming pools should be paying more. I never thought it was fair that we, a family of two, paid the same amount as a family of five. You know that they use more water, for laundry and showers. Give Meegan a chance, it takes time to straighten out what others screwed with.

Chucksterc, I thank you. Most of our mayors over the years were never here. They either had jobs or just took off for months at a time to Florida or where ever.

Yes, I agree there is some signs of things being done in Keeseville such as new signs pointing out bumps and streets. The new Memorial park area and the shack. However, not so fast. The water meters are being held off due to bugs I guess being worked out. Being charged for water use is a good thing if you don't use much BUT being charged for water that is not drinkable is another issue.

Though progress is slowly being made. How many mayors does it take? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop?

Have seen 4 mayors and not a whole heck of anything done. Ironically all 4 mayors were concerned about the water?

I do not hear much about promoting business or revitalizing the downtown area and cleaning up many parts of the area that need to be cleaned up including the drugs, eyesores and buildings and yards in need of clean up efforts. Giving something more for our taxpayers dollars and even trying to lower taxes should be right up there.

I think this mayor is going to do a better job than past mayors. I just hope the board sticks by her and keep the taxpayers and citizens in mind and not there own interests.

Have seen 4 past mayors and I still ask myself that same question? Though will give this new mayor a chance. I am seeing A LITTLE progress. As I said though just hope the board helps her out with the taxpayers and citizens in mind. Wouldn't it be great if they worked towards lowering taxes?

What would you want to see with your tax dollars?

Myself, safer drinking water. As it took 4 mayors and there was a concern with all 4 mayors. All I heard is the need for a new water filter system and now with that some violations. Let's blame it on the "Pond Turning Over" though don't get me wrong progress is being made.

So when you find out what you get for your tax dollars and what you would like to see for your tax dollars. Would like to know. Better yet, let your Village and Town officials hear your voice.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aquarius

This is another day when financial matters cause trouble, as Mars reverses in your seventh house. What started off as a minor niggle with a partner or an opponent yesterday could now escalate into a full-blown row, but at least this will give you the chance to get certain things out into the open. Legal issues from the past may become ugly. If you're pointing the finger of blame at someone, don't get so heated that you accuse them of everything under the sun.
