Irvington family 'devastated' by NYU student's apparent suicide plunge

NEW YORK - A 20-year-old student from Irvington died Tuesday after an apparent suicide leap in the main library at New York University , school officials said.

I am so sorry for this handsome, intelligent young man to have chosen suicide and especially for his whole family. It's a terrible feeling to wake up and wish reality was different - my prayers are with this family.

My heart is broken for this family and especially his mother . I will pray that this young man may Rest in peace andI hope the family will find the strength to get through.
