I am not surprised about this. Jacksonville Florida, compared to the rest of the real world is a racist town.
Jacksonville is a breeding ground for racisim, and has been since before and after abe lincoln. Jacksonville is infested in every nook and crany of the FIRST COAST. They only recently in the 20th century began to hire african american firefighters, I guess the firefighters are still trying to keep it the GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB. How many of the Firefighters can not read or write, barely speak proper english, only have the job due to and have the nerve not to work among african americans...
Firefighters are supposed to be brave, you can walk in to a burning building, but can't work with other ethinic groups. you firefighters in Jacksonville are cowards, show your face, take off your WHITE HOOD,expose yourself for who you really are you COWARDS.... the entire city of jacksonville seemed surprised with all the bad press received during 2005 superbowl, job well done for exposing your true colors (or lack thereof) or should I say your true KKK costumes.
well, Mr Mayor, when you were elected you were elected to service the entire Jacksonville community, including african americans.
This is by far, the most ignorant and dumb post I have ever read about a city in my life. Yes, this issue is COMPLETELY out of line, and the people responsible should be severely punished, but to say every nook and cranny of Jacksonville is racist is absolutely ridiculous. Of sixteen years living here, I have never been exposed to racism except on the news, on which I haven't seen a report on racism in quite some time (about 2 years). Black Enterprise Magazine ranked Jacksonville as the 10th best place for any African American family to live in,with Philly nowhere in sight on that list. One of my friends moms is a chief on the fire department. Yes, every tree bears some rotten fruit, but for the most part, they are damn heroes and for you to call all the white firefighters dumb, illiterate inbred cowards is racism in itself, and utter hypocrisy. Think before you post next time Lisa. And keep in mind, Philly has WAY more reports on racism than Jacksonville ever has. Just in case you were wondering, I am black myself, and did some research before I wrote this post
